Hello,

I have been trying to put a signature in my postings to auctiva forums. I know I am doing something wrong with my urls, but I am not sure what ? Confused

I have tried various ways to code it, but all I get is the code showing up on the posts and not the links ?

I have put the code into a practice link, I would be so grateful if someone could have a look at it and tell me where I am going wrong.

http://www.practiceboard.com/?3112355

Thanks in advance. Smile

Carol.

Doesn't HTML have to be turned on by request?

Hi,

Thanks for replying Joe. Do you think that is why it won't show up ? I will try asking auctiva and see what happens.

Carol.

Probably. I think it says that near the bottom when you edit your signature. It probably requires a ticket or something to get it turned on. Just a guess

The sigs don't use HTML, they use BB code.

You can get the code by using the little symbols at the top of a reply window to put what you want, then copy and paste that into the sig area in your profile Wink

Ah, I remember the days when HTML was new and I was the cool guy on the block. BB Code, huh? I'll have to see what that can do. Thanks for the post.

Just for clarification...I THINK the code the sigs use is BB code. It's not HTML but is something that I've seen on several bulletin boards. There's a chance I'm using the wrong term for it!

some call it BB code, some call it UBB code -- it's a carry-over from Ultimate Bulletin Board. UBB history at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultimate_Bulletin_Board Smile (there was a time when i wrote UBB hacks/add-ons for fun - shhhh... dont tell anyone that i'm that much of a geek, 'k? Wink )
