Jeff, can you tell us anything else about the changes to Auctiva Insurance? You indicate here that this change will take effect 6/5/07.

I have several current listings with insurance included in the shipping cost, and now I'm thinking I might take a hit on these if the rates suddenly change.

ahem... me too!! i was at the p.o. the other day and noticed the ins. rate went up.. but have not seen anything that shows that change in auctiva... i have listings up w/ the current/soon-to-be-old insurance rates.. please advise, my auctions end sunday, thanks so much!

As of right now, nothing has actually changed. The rates are the same as they used to be.

We will be changing them within the next few weeks, but will make sure to let you know what the implications of this will be.

One quick note for when we do make the change, if you are using Auctiva checkout and our insurance option, you will not lose money when the rates change. The rate increase will be reflected to the buyer in our checkout flow, so the buyer will pay the increased rate and your "rebate" back from Auctiva will remain as it is.

Kevin, as long as I know far enough in advance so that I can adjust my rates, I'm good with that. I don't use Auctiva Checkout.
