This is getting frustrating - when I try to add my links to my signature on here, it doesn't work, it just shows all the code, but I can see from the page source that some of you have done it - Katiendave for example. How did you get that to work? In the source, it all looks the same as my code, so what am I doing wrong?
Hi Pete, This is really funny, ME, the computer doofus, giving you an answer on this. Ive already had to change my link about 5 times cuz I don't know what I'm doing But now it appears to be correct. (At least I hope it is)
First, Auctiva won't let you use HTML in your sig, I didn't figure that out right away either...so I copied/pasted the whole thing and emailed it to myself just to see what it would look like (Now I REALLY sound crazy )
What showed up wasn't an entire link of course, so I just deleted what I didn't need and used the rest and it seems to be ok.
There HAS to be an easier way and I'm sure there is, but you know I shouldn't even have a computer
So short answer, try removing the code (is that what all that stuff </> is?) and just use the rest..I'll click it & let you know if it works.

Hi Member, thanks for your response - I think I'm OK putting the basic URL in the signature, it's the image one I'm confused about. And yes you're right about not being able to enter HTML code in the signature, byt that doesn't explain why when I look at the page source, I see all the HTML coding around the signature. Oh well, I'll keep trying.
Pete I have no idea what you just said I'm completely hopeless! I know you'll be able to figure it out. Taz is around too, maybe he has an idea... Good luck

Of course 8880 I was just looking at katiendaves source code when I realized that possibly this can be done by linking the image and URL together So I am going to give it a try here. Going to have to experiment so will probably be editing a bit here OK Pete I am just as stumped as you! I cannot see a way to do this????

Oh thank gawd fer that! I'm not as daft as I was beginning to think I was! Thanks Steve, yes I thought it must be linking the URL to the image URL, but how - anyone's guess at the moment.
@Member - don't worry, I had no idea what I said either!
I was having a similar issue with the html code and thought maybe it was the safari browser I was using. I use Firefox for all my auctiva listings and decided to try it for this forum as well. It worked! Now I may be a firefox user forever
whatever86, I think you signed up for KickitBack though. That's only for eBay, but BigCrumbs gives you cash back for shopping at many online retailers, including ebay, walmart, buy.com, circuit city, gap, and many more.

I don't know anyone using Kickitback. Does it pay the same % as Big Crumbs and have a referral program? I just bought more paypal shipping labels on ebay and love that I'm saving money on my purchases. Very cool!
Hi all, Thought I would throw my Two Cents in to the discussion. I have been signed up with Big Crumbs for about a year and have 176 referrals to date (about $40 commission). I've been with KickItBack for about six months, have two referrals with zero commission. I promote each equally on my About Me page on eBay so I'm not sure why the big difference. I think all of my promotion will have to go to Big Crumbs from now on since people seem to gravitate there. Doug
I wonder if swapping the links would change the #'s. Keeping the link texts the same but put KickItBack first and BigCrumbs second on your me page and whereever else you promote it.
I've earned around $30 and I think I've done maybe 2 posts here on the message boards and that's it.
Both pay about the same. They pay 36% of a sellers fees. We pay 1% of the purchase price. When you work the math the are close and ours is a lot easier to understand what the savings are. I believe we also pay more for the people you refer. They pay 4% of a sellers fees while we pay 1/2% of the item's sales price.
It depends on the items you list and the fees you pay. The higher the fees you pay relative to the final value fee of the item the better BigCrumbs would be. The higher the price of the item relative to the price of the item the better we'd be. I think we're better on the referal level for both scenarios. You can check your item fees in your seller account for items you've sold to see which is better for your items. 36% of your fees, or 1% of the items you've sold. Or 4% of th your fees or 1/2%.
So my only other thinking is that if you're getting more customers to signup to BigCrumbs and all other things are equal then maybe it's just that people like that it supports more than just eBay. A lot of it will have to do with it being the first link you have on your Me page. They look to be promoting the same thing and theirs is first.
One nice thing about KickItBack is that we keep all the buyers in the eBay economy. And with the higher payout for referals it makes more sense to promote to your eBay buyers.
Thanks for the info Auctiva-Support. I'm still confused as to the difference in fee payouts so I think I might join Kickitback, just to do a compare for myself. Can you give more info on the referral structure? Big Crumbs pays out 5 levels to a Crumb Earner. Does Kickitback have a similar structure?
