Hi everyone, does anybody no if this is effecting the checkout? My pictures too are not showing, but I do have a few auctions that ended in time, and I don't know if the buyer is able to check out or not? Has anybody heard or know if there is a problem for the sold items before the changed started, to allow buyers to checkout? Hope all is going well for the Auctiva guys, hope to list soon. Roxanne <><

Quick update:

It's been a long night, but we do have all the servers moved from Oakland to Sacramento. They are in place, up and running and all of that.

We're just working on the last few pieces of the puzzle right now.

Hopefully finished within an hour. Two at the most. I'll update you here if things change.

That was posted at 11:22 am PST 3-07-06 on another thread. It might have been more readily viewed if some folks would read first, post second.

How about every one quit the infantile posting, realize the situation is being corrected and move on. A lot of valuable message space is being wasted on juvenile posts and the important infomation is being buried in and amongst all of the garbage.
This Auctiva site is a total mess. They have really done it this time! I have lost potential sales because several of my auctions ended with no pictures available for the buyers viewing. I spent alot of time and money on my auction listings, only to have them end because interested buyers were looking at blank spaces where my pictures once appeared. What a joke! And forget about even trying to tell this to Auctiva. You can't even access their help page or log into your account. I think Auctiva owes all of us affected by this problem free relistings on ebay, since they goofed. I am appalled with this service and feel it can not be completely trusted. Mad
don't you read your emails? Auctiva notifide all of you A-holes out there about this move last week! Remember ...it is a FREE Service...don't like it....then move on Laddy!

Again, let's reiterate: Auctiva warned everyone, not to mention, this move is to OUR BENEFIT!! Why can't all you winers see this? I have over 150 listings affected by this, but I'm not complaining. I made sure that none of my Auctions would end until this evening, and didn't bother to list high-dollar auctions just in case. They've been warning us for over a week, if anyone is to blame, it's yourselves. If you don't like the service, it's FREE, NO CONTRACTS, so leave. Let us who appreciate Auctiva use this forum space for topics that will be helpful.
do it the old fashion way....go to your completed listings and send them an Ebay invoice, come on people...use your heads!

Then you must have time and money to burn. I need to be able to sell to stay on EBAY!!!!
I don't know why there is so much hostility between members here. Listen "mysterhalloween" do you really think that all of the people outraged over listings being inaccesible to potential buyers (including myself) just didn't read their email or did and dedcided it was a good day to flush money down the toilet by listing stuff anyway??? Good for you for getting the warning about this, but I did not and I can gather from the distress of hundreds of other people that they didn't either. For whatever reason. Yes Auctiva is a wonderful free service, but if it isn't going to be reliable at all times, what good is it to ebay sellers? Wouldn't we rather use ebay or another service to manage our business rather than take a chance of listing accessibility being a crap shoot? Come on...at the very least Auctiva could have flagged our accounts with a message before listings posted during this down time with a heads-up. And by the way...this is the second major outage I've endured since X-mas time.

I did use my head, and already have done that last night, I just asked the question, didn't need a rude comment. I never received the "email" that Auctiva was supposed to send out. I am Not complaining, I have plenty of listings, and don't really care. I had not heard if there was a problem, with checkout. Why do you think I asked? Come on, NOT all of us are rude, and no question is a stupid question, have you ever heard of that one?

Then get the hell out. Its a free service, do you think you can provide a better service. They are doing a great job, and they notified everyone and had postings all over the website. Take a hike.

WRONG! No we did not get emails a very few if any got emails. If you would please refrain yourself from insulting other posters that would be great. Lets all act like we have some maturity please.

I've been with Auctiva since November I love the site, Right now they are having problems. But I'm still here to support them. I'm sure they are working on this as fast as they can. I am to very frustrated but I'm not out here bashing everyone, cursing everyone. I did not get any emails notifying me of the different dates of server exchange. I only found out by coming to the forums.

So mysterhalloween, GROW UP and SHUT UP! If you dont have anything to say that will be helpful then dont post. Would you treat your customers like that?

oh, and another thing - I thought it was very considerate of Auctiva to have notified us well before hand . . . PLUS have that flashing red ALERT at the top of each listing page . . . a VERY helpful reminder to those of us who forget EASILY -

Myself, I have a high end factory Pontiac 4 Speed Shifter ending in about an hour and a half . .. yeah, I know. "why did I list it to end today?" . .. Well, because I can be a Doo-Dah, I'm getting old and forgetful, whatever else . . . .

BUT I also use my listing descriptions to describe my item as if there were NO pictures, I conduct myself in all my dealings to make sure to reassure potential bidders that I "MEAN WHAT I SAY AND SAY WHAT I MEAN" and that EVERYHTING is EXACTLY as described . . . that way they can take a quick moment, check my FeedBack and make a decision based on Past Dealings and my track record ....

My shifter? . . . it's had over $70.00 in NEW bids SINCE I have lost my pictures in my listings . . . that's what you want to see . . . BIDDER CONFIDENCE IN THEIR SELLER . . . and nothing personal, but you don't develope that sort of thing by being a whiner.

Or maybe you should just sell used automotive parts - develope a following, and don't sweat the small stuff!

Car Parts? Yeah, I'm just a girl - but I've been doing it for over 20 years, I'm no whiner, DO NOT believe in Instant Gratification....and I DON'T Sweat the small stuff!

Yeah, I think I'll survive this Auctiva "Thing" - and in case I neglected to do this . ..

THANKS AUCTIVA . . . For EVERYTHING!!!

Mariann
Yes, it would appear that the site is down, especially where images are concerned. This morning I checked my auctions and none of them were showing images, nor are they this evening. We had been warned there might be difficulties, and being a techi, you guys at Auctiva have my sympathy. I know that behind all of this there are guys and girls working their socks off to try and get it right for us the customer. However, being a customer on this occasion does not make it feel any better, but the service is free, and much better than that offered by ebay. So, I for one will be holding my breath and waiting for all to be put right and looking forward to enjoying more of the service I have experienced so far with Auctiva.
One can never so sure that a website like auctiva will always be up 24/7 365 days a year. Especially, if you have alot of auctions running all the time. This is why I host all my images on a realible outside server.
I've used many auction tools such as andale, channel advisor, eatools, and now I'm gonna be making the move to auctiva but my images will still remain on an outside server.

Typically, this kind of service cost money but not much. If anyone needs any help or advice please let me know.
Amen to all of those who are clapping and praying for "God's Speed" for Auctiva's tech group. They need all of us, who appreciate the site, even though they have problems sometimes, to back them up, and not bring them down. I'm sure we have all had our days, where nothing seems to go right, but don't it help when someone comes and lifts you up? Thanks Auctiva for looking to the future for us, and God's Speed to you. I for one would never use auctiva as checkout. I did once and what a mess, they don't combine auctions for your buyers are you. Buyer don't understand why they are not getting just one invoice and combine shipping. With ebay check out you can go into one of the winners auction and it will combine all their wins together. Note eBay will NOT do auctiva checkouts if you had them set to do it already. You have to turn auctiva checkout off first and eBay will not touch the ones they did have. But will do the new ones after that. I been there. No, No way will auctiva ever do my checkouts again!
Do take a break cause you're annoying the rest of us who just check in here to see if things are going o.k. for Auctiva...you know - the one's who save us SO much time and money and GIVE us cool perks>>>>

Going OK for Auctiva? Gee, if it was then it be OK for us don't you think? Yes, save us money when they work but lets don't forget cost us money when they don't work...always two sides. They also make money from their ads, lets don't forget that, in turn they get the ads because we are here.
NOT ALL OF US UES THE FREE SERVICE I PAY THIS
NOT SURE WHY ANY MORE LOOKING FOR NEW SERVICE TO THROUGH MY MONEY AT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No one forces me to sell any amount to stay on Ebay, and I never made the statement that they did, but for this site to be down when I have over 200 items up for sale and 99% of them are listed through Auctiva and no one can access the pictures, then it hurts all that sell on ebay that use this service, free or not we have to pay Ebay to list and now we may have to relist all of our items once again. I guess we will all have to go back to listing exclusively through EBay only to make sure that our items can be accessed at all times.
Amazing.

Why would Auctiva flag your account with a warning about the site being down when there is one when YOU LOG IN???

For all these people with loads of auctions and whining about lost sales because of this.......rule no. 1 NEVER PUT ALL YOUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET!

Research what tools you're using. There have been a limitless end of alternate suggestions here that even a newbie like me can understand and install.

My pics went into a free photobucket account and i added to the description on ebay one line of HTML that photobucket will even create for html idiots like me and there ya go..........a pic that won't go down when the site did.

Face it you're all here using a free site that SAVES you money in the long run.

This is not true. I was here listing Friday, and saw nothing. I don't do pop up pages, they are block.

BINGO!!!!!!! Need I say more? Well, probably would't hurt to spell this out for those that need it . . .

"OF COURSE, IF IT IS GOING GOOD FOR AUCTIVA . . . iT MUSTBE GOING GOOD FOR US TOO . .."

That's a BIG no~brainer . . . BINGO!

BTW: Living in the midwest, I see no pictures in my listings . .. but just got an e-mail from my Mother - who lives in the Pacific NW, and she said that I had pictures in my listings on her computer . . . So it sounds like we're UP - and coming soon ~ to a neighborhood near you!
