I have an Ebay store that I get charged for monthly. I also have a FREE Auctiva store (thank you very much). I know I need Ebay because Auctiva is not an auction site, but is it really necessary to have a store in Ebay and Auctiva? Can I just use my Auctiva store as the store and Ebay for listing the auctions? Thanks much.
If you have mostly auctions it's not even necessary (or worth the money) to have an Ebay store. This is JMHO, so please don't anyone get mad at me but it's always seemed to me that an Ebay store would be more useful and economical for folks who have hundreds of items for sale...with a store, they can sit there for a whole 30 days with a Buy it Now. The downside is that store items are not easy to find, but auctions are. When I sell, I usually have 25 to 150 items running at once but I've never seen the need for a store because I know I'll get more exposure with auctions. It all depends on what you sell, how much you sell and how you have your listings set up...personal choice. Remember, JMHO

Appreciate your opinion. It makes sense. I do both auction and store inventory. I can do both via Auctiva right? And you are right, have an eBay store is a waste of money, especially since I get the Auctive store for free!
Yes, you can do both through Auctiva. You yourself will have to figure out which is best for you. Remember, I only said an Ebay store is a waste of money for ME, for others, it SAVES money.

Just wondering why you want to create your listings on eBay when you have an Auctiva account.
With the free multiple images, scrolling gallery and scheduling on Auctiva I don't know why would anyone want to do that if they have an Auctiva account or not

I broke down and spent the $$ for the ebay store. It was the only way I could get my buyers to be able to find other items in their size, since Auctiva won't allow you to set up store categories in this manner.
Yes rubberduckproductions, that is the only down side to an Auctiva store front, shame really, it can look really good but without this piece of functionality it is of very little use to sellers like you and very limited for me.
I have asked before and had very little response on the issue apart from the section of code that would require changing is deep in the overall application. This gives me the impression that the code is not modular enough which means a lot of work to make a small functional change which could break the 'store' application itself. Ho-hum.

Some of the other glitches I've been encountering is the inability for me in the US to choose flat rate envelopes when using calculated shipping. I can save my overseas buyers a LOT by putting flat items in them. As it is right now, I have to list in Auctiva, then go into each and every ebay listing and revise it manually. As my goal is 100 auctions listed a week, well that can be time consuming.
