Hi. Love the scrolling window, but is it only for use on ebay. We've tried adding the window code to some of our own websites and the visual aspect of it works, but when you select an item to click on it goes to a page cannot be displayed page, the url goes to mywebsite.com/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7599918745

Can you please let us know what if there is a part of the html code we can edit so it works on other sites. We've looked through the code but can't work out what to edit to make the links work on a non-ebay site.
Thanks in advance.

If you want to avoid the "page not displayed" error you can just replace this javascript:

&baseurl='+escape(location.href.substring(0, location.href.lastIndexOf('/') + 1))

with an apostraphe:

'

Thanks very much for that, sounds better than having an error page. Will give it a try. Smile

I tried this fix on the html of the scrollbar on my blogger blog and it worked great! The specific images on the scrollbar now point directly to their Ebay Sale page! You Rock David. Thank you so much. Auctiva Rules!

Thanks, DornAndrew

Hi there!

I'm trying to post my scrolling gallery on my MySpace page with no luck(same as you would any other HTML code), and Auctiva support directed me here...
So I tried replacing the code "&baseurl='+escape(location.href.substring(0, location.href.lastIndexOf('/') + 1))" with the apostrophe, and it still didn't work, all I see is more code. Any other thoughts?

Unfortunately, MySpace puts special restrictions on what code you can insert into your profile. This means that the scrolling gallery will not fully work on MySpace. You can modify the code such that it will display, but customers will not be able to click the items to get through to eBay, so it would basically be for display purposes only... not very useful Frown
