Seeing as eBay is forcing a paperless payment policy and will no longer allow to advertise that sellers will accept checks or money orders, would there be a problem in stating such in our Auctiva Store About Us Information or Contact Us pages?
In 'trying' to read through the miles of eBays message boards and policy rules pages, I get the impression their policy will be so-so strictly enforced. They seem to realize that some will slip through the cracks and some customers (and sellers) like to do business the old fashioned way, ie. checks and money orders.
In complying with eBay paperless policy, I've got a mountain of work to do in *editing* 1900 eBay Store items.
What ya'll think about this? (check/money order payments acceptance referenced in Auctiva Store pages Contact Info or About Us)
I have instructions in my check out profile that states that if you need another payment method please contact us and added an email address. Checkout profiles are easy to make bulk changes to by 'find and replace'. I would not want to have to change 1900 listings.
Lady of leather has the right idea...after the sale a buyer can request to send a M.O. and you are free to accomadate them. You just can't 'blatently' state that you take money orders anymore
