3.38 is not working for a bunch of us. when will this be fixed. When the 3.37 was working I was not getting the email addresses for my new bids. Will this be fixed as well
Around noon today it seems ebay did something again that stopped the refreshing. It's been reported but the weekend is the worst time for this to happen as the programmer that works on ebud is not in the office. Not every programmer can work on ebud either as just a couple are aware of it's inner workings.
So if your ebud is not refreshing it is because of yet another ebay change. That makes three in four days to mess things up for third party developers and sellers.
Ed, Since the programmer is not there, call him/her in. We have auctions going off and need this service, we pay for it, and surprisingly expect it. Is there no communication between you and eBay or just a lucky "partnership" - seems that they are trying to put all of us out of business. The least Auctiva could do is set up an instant email notice to users that don't know that their eBud is not working properly. magicbelle

Yes please call them the weekend busiest time for 90% of sellers. I too have all of my auctions ending and I need the updated information. It is no bid deal when you sell 1-10 items but wen you sell over 500 we can not do without a program. Why doesn't auctiva have someone who can do the work working on the weekend. Call him. I will even pitch in to pay him. As I am sure many others who have auctions ending will. Wait we do already pay him. We pay for this service.
Stephen, Guess this is how we get trained to use eBay's program. I have used eBud for years and what a MESS. I only have 20 going off tonight, but that is enough to tick me off. Auctiva, knowing that eBay has been messing with things should have had a back-up plan. Too bad. Wonder how many don't know they have a "troubled" program and are waiting for their auctions to go off. magicbelle

The whole idea is to make it HARD for anyone that does not "march to ebays drummers" and use all their programs. They want control over everything, and yes, don't inform companies like Auctiva of changes. They would love for us to use only their programs. So be patient, its a miracle all the programmers don't have ulcers from ebaT! They always get it fixed.

Ladybutton, I realize they always get it fixed, most businesses do - that is why they are in business. In the meantime, several questions - what happens to the data that we don't get when our auctions go off - some of us are working for others, not ourselves. And that is why we pay for the service of Auctiva. I have always given Auctive credit where credit is due - in all the years I have been with them. This is an exception to most problems - Patience does not include the weekend, I guess. magicbelle

Ladybutton, I guess the thing that ticks me off the most is that Auctiva has known about this since noon today and this is 6 hours later. Someone should have had the foresight to be working on the problem. Not all of us use the "free" Auctiva. magicbelle

If you are insinuating that I use free auctiva, guess again. I pay like the rest of us, and lots more than when I first started using this program. It has always been my experience, with computer problems, that no matter what the problem, it always gets fixed and life goes on. At one time I was in your boat, and any computer problems stressed me out like this is stressing you, and I do understand whare you are coming from. Remember that ebay allows you 3 days to contact your buyers, and I am sure the problem will be fixed way before then. I too am experiencing these problems with updating. I don't mean to make light of this, but these people do the best they can...and they are human like us and not computers.

We have yet another update available (3.39) for download as of 7:15 PM Pacific. Thanks for bearing with us while we deal with eBay's latest updates to their site. Please let us know if this newest version has any problems.
and folks at times a person might be out of town as I thought Joe was but I called this in to our emergency # and it paid off. I did that before I even posted the message earlier.
The key can be times when there is nothing tech support can do but Joe came through on his day off and hopefully ebay will take the day off tomorrow and NOT BREAK it again!
Joe and Ed, Thanks for fixing the problems that eBay is causing you and us! However, I need a download link, as I am sure some others do too. My update does not work with my wireless. Only the download. Again, THANK YOU. And, Ladybutton, you thanks for encouragement - I know that I have 3 days and so does the buyer, however, that is in their world, not mine. And, I know they are only computers - nuts and bolts - but we all want them to work like we expect. Again, Ed and Joe, thanks for the WORK AND TAKING YOUR DAY OFF TO DEAL WITH EBAY AGAIN! Believe me, if there was any other auction house that worked the way they do, I would switch in a new york minute! Best to all, magicbelle
PS: Don't forget the link for the download.

I'm also still having the same problem with 3.39. Doesn't retrieve emails, not closing all auctions that have closed. I know your working on it. I'm not complaining, just updating you. Thanks, Liz

Many portions of eBud do use the API, though there are still some functions that rely on screen scraping. The changes made for the email address issue (now available as 3.40) has it using the API to get buyer email addresses. So hopefully this won't be an issue again to the extent it has over the last couple days.
