On two occasions over the last few days, eBud has shown a running auction as "ended" (diffferntauction each time) .. After high lighting the auction, right clicking and clicking on "update" two or three times ebud finally imported the correct information. But, what is causing the problem? Hasn't ever happened in the past. A little embarrasing to send an "End of Auction" notice when the auction is still running which is what I probably would have done if it had happend late in the evening and not at 8:00 AM EST when I knew no auctions were ending.. I am using eBud 3.10h

Meant to include it just affected one auction each time and not all the auctions I had running. This morning it was auction 2621807822.

RubyLane is experiencing the same porblem; Here is a message from thier site:

"We have added a new link to the counter results, to let you see what eBay returned to us when we did a Seller Search. The data on this page, from eBay, is what we use to classify auctions as open or closed, so if the ending times are wrong in the data we get from eBay, it'll be wrong on our site too.

If you have auctions with the wrong ending times or auctions that are classified as open/closed incorrectly, click the link and check the auction ending time on eBay's Seller Search. If it is right there, but wrong on our site, please post a note with your eBay Seller ID and item # and let us know, or if the data is wrong on the eBay Seller Search, that would be useful info too.

In the past, the symptom of this problem is that some/most of the Seller Searches return correct data, but occasionally incorrect ending times are returned. Please don't go to eBay's site and do a Seller Search and say "it's right on eBay"; use the link we provide and check eBay's data on that page, because that's the data we used to display your counter results."

I checked the link they provided and eBay was returing ending times of 0;00 to 0;210. Times at which I never end auctions. I waited a few minutes and eBay returned the correct ending times. Auctiva must be using the smae page to get thier inofrmation. Can it be changed to scrape the inormation for the regular seller search page? That page seems to be returning the correct information. Just a suggestion from a non computer "geek" so I ahve no idea if it will work or not. Would like to see soemthing done to correct teh problem ..

300+ of my auctions have the wrong ending time...about 50 are showing as closed. These are the ones that should end later tonight.

Is there any way to bulk update them? I've tried, and I get an error message: "Error parsing manually added auction"...or something like that. I wasn't trying to manually add an auction, I was simply trying to update the ones that were screwed up.

The last time this happened, it only happened to about 50 auctions which showed as closed but were still running. I couldn't figure out any way to correct it other than manually going into the data card, hitting "Confirm Data," then deleting the "No Sale" info and the date. That whole process took a good chunk out of my evening...what am I going to do with 300 of them?

I've seen a lot on this subject in prior discussions and it finally happened to me last night too.

It's apparently an ebay bug - don't know why or how but "refreshing" ebud doesn't work (altho' refreshing ebay's sellers list does).

The "FIX" (or the work around anyway) is to delete all the affected auctions and then do a manual update and it will reinsert (add) them to ebud and upon doing this yesterday evening, everythign was correct again.

The problem was it happened several times during the evening so I had to double check every time I went to send congratulatory emails that the auctions truly had ended (just double clicked on the item number nad went to the auction page - each to check). Still a pain but nothing auctiva can do to fix ebay. Seems all better tonight (for now anyway for me! But I never had a problem before when others were so . . . . this may mean nothing).

The thing that gets me is that this is one of two threads addressing this problem and I do not see where Auctiva Support has responded to either of them. Note that the info I posted above came from Ruby Lane. Their response was almost immediate. It might not have "fixed" the problem but it at least let thier users know what is going on and that they are aware of the problem. Auctiva support could do well to learn from tehm.. Would save them from having so many angry users . JMHO

To fix the problem you should open the Data card for each item and than hit Apply Changes button.

I tried doing the "apply changes" to each individual auction ..it does nothing. When I do the confirm data..it now shows the ended auction as still running...anyone have any suggestions?
