I did leave this info at the end of the 3.39 thread, but I wanted to start a new thread to plainly indicate 3.40 is still not right:

All I got was the bid amount, and the User's eBay ID. No stat date, no Email address, No feedback value. I also got an entry in the error log:

ERROR in getBuyerEmailAddressFromAPI : Error on 9/24/2007 7:13:55 PM

I'm getting the same error message. Please Auctiva...let us know that you're working on this. We all rely on Ebud. When it's not working properly, we expect notification promptly.

I am not able to update to the 3.40 please send me the manual link. When I go to update it looks like it id doing it and says it has successfully updated but then the 3.39 is still showing.

I am not able to update direct either. Need a manual link. I just requested support to send a link, but it would be nice to have it included in the post when a new version comes out daily - thanks to eBay's insistence on changing things & driving Auctiva crazy.

Just got this link form Ed J at Auctiva

Download the following file

http://classic.auctiva.com/AutoUpdate/AuctivaManagerPro...vaManagerPro.exe.zip


Unzip this zip file to your "C:\Program files\Auctiva\Ebud" folder

Then open Ebud and check to see if the version of eBud has changed.

and that link is always the ‘new‘ ebud

OK I did as suggested above but then I get 3.40 with on data at all. How do I get the data from 3.39 into 3.40. I looked at restore data and it is empty

I open to my C drive,C:\Program files\Auctiva\Ebud",you have to browse to find this file. Then it should overwrite 3.39 and become 3.40, it will tell you that you already have an ebud file, and you want to overwrite it.
But, close ebud first before you download.
Then when you open eBud again, it will load all together.
Or, should.

I guess I should have said when you are down loading and installing you will be asked where to install.
Then browse and choose C:\Program files\Auctiva\Ebud".

I must be really stupid. this is what is happening. I click on the link. then a down load box come up. I click on that logo that says open. then a box comes up with a blue header that reads auctivemanagerpro.exe.zip.winrar there are two choices in there one is a yellow folder and the other is ebud.exe. If I click on te second one a box opens that wants me to enter user names and address. I am nerves to do this incase it deletes my old information

This I can't answer for you. I suggest that you contact support for this one - mine downloaded differently. Go to the previous Topic 3.39 and there should be a link to contact support.

Not only 3.40 doesn't update buyers email, but now I can't log in to Auctiva to file a support case. Anyone else unable to log in?

3.40 is working fine for me. email addrs are retreiving ok so far.
PS: I just filed a support case a hour ago - no problem.

Worked fine yesterday AM , today I'm getting a API Error saying "Tax rate selected is greater than the maximum value"

I do not do tax and have check listing and it is correct. I repeat listings everyday.
