Does anyone know if eBud can retrieve Pay Service fee i.e. PayPal fees? And how to do it?

SmileI am very happy to see that Auctiva does not purge their database much. Thank you for voicing your opinion on this subject. I have not had an answer yet and it's been 2 yrs since I asked the question.

Hi,

Ebud can't do this because you cannot access Paypal fees from the eBay site. To do so would require an extensive integration with the Paypal API.

Joe

Then why does the software offer the Pay Service option? Seems to be of no benefit to the end user and possibly causes problems within the software which has enough problems as it is written now.

I think it would be to your best interest to intergrate that feature into Ebud, taking it to the next level. I think intergrating what your users are asking for would be in your interest and making the product that more desireable.

Andrew

You can probably make a macro that does the job very easily. If I ever get a chance to make one I'll post it.

Or how about this idea. Ebud users download the Paypal information. Then a macro just goes thru the ebud database looks for the auctions that have an empty field that we'll use for Paypal fees. Then it fills in blanks by doing a item number search on the Paypal download. It would not be idiot proof but a majority of us computer savvy people could make it work.

This way the eBud software will not need to work with Paypal. Everyone will need MS Excell though. Could Auctiva help us do this?
