Tom said,"We're not eBay, we dont make any extra money from powersellers. Thus I dont think we'd feel any compulsion to provide increased support as such." Tom do you think before you answer??? What would happen if all the powersellers left Auctiva?? You would have less problems but I think you would see that you do make extra money from powersellers! Barbara

They make just as much money from each and every customer and until and unless powersellers pay them EXTRA (that is more than the others) why would they give powersellers any different attention?
And by the way, you power seller snobs out there, many of us do MORE auctions in a month than you - our QUANTITY is often greater. A power seller from what I've read is based not on volume but on amount of sales. Now certainly many powersellers have high volume too, but Auctiva caters to high volume users not high sales users. I list over 100 auctions a month and my sales are piddly - I don't think I've ever hit $1000 in a month (pre-s/h anyway). But I've certainly had more than 200 auctions in a month. And I don't depend on Auctiva any less than most power sellers - perhaps even more, since I totally depend on and pay for their posting services so that I can list that kind of volume even though I don't make much doing it and still have a family life.
I REALLY RESENT arrogant power sellers who think they're what ebay's all about. It's the MOM and POP people like me selling miscellanea from their basements or previous homes or jobs (or simply extra "stuff" from wherever) who made ebay what it is and they (like you arrogant ones) are alienating us and squeezing us for every penny.
This down time hurts us as much as it hurts you if not more b/c our profit margins are so slim. So go do something useful and don't haggle auctiva to give you something you don't deserve in the slightest.
In fact, maybe if all you arrogant power sellers (not the non-arrogant ones mind you - you guys are fine and even very helpful to the rest of us!) who think you own the world got off auctiva it'd run better for the rest of us!
I'm going to go get off my high horse now. Sorry for the frustration but this is getting old. --Melanie

OK guys, what is the deal? It still locks up every time you try to update feedback. I'd like to be able to return feedback to my customers one of these days...
As for the ongoing argument about Powersellers and all that crap, look, I'm a Gold Powerseller and I run about 150 auctions every single day, but I only pay the same amount for this Auctiva product as granny down the street who runs two auctions a month so I get the same lousy support as the rest of you and I deal with it.

On the whole, I think support does a decent job considering they have to put up with Ebays changes. I don't want to have to pay for support. It just cuts into the bottom line.

Tom, sign me up for the phone support. I would gladly pay $20.00 for real help real fast. I really do not have a problem right now though and do not need any help. Just thought I would come and read the screaming about the servers being down. I just replaced my computer, what a pain. New one is faster and better but what a pain getting there. As for the powerseller issue...I just made GOLD level, whoopie...someone please pay my fees. I don't get to crazy about being a powerseller, does not make me better than anyone else, just busier in my case. I think I will make my first million 10 bucks at a time. I do like to come here and try to answer a question once in a while. It is good to help out and be a part of the community. Everything is working fine here keep up the good work.

I have had no problem with feedback - it's caught all my new ones each day even while the servers were down. My guess is that it's by no means a universal problem but particular to you and perhaps a few others.
To ask the obvious, are you running the latest version of the software? Now that the server is back up, have you files a formal support request?
Regarding the quality of support, perhaps it's not what you get from ebay as a power seller, but Auctiva's support is far better, faster and more helpful than any I've ever gotten from ebay as a non-powerseller. I'd take Auctiva any day over ebay. And this help board, while not always helpful, is a real resource that doesn't exist on ebay.

Feedback manager continues to work for me too. I've had few problems with Ebud lately. Maybe your computer just doesn't like you.

Sorry if anyone is offended by my comments but Im not here to make new friends. I need a level of support due to the fact that we do a large volume on ebay and when we cant post it cost us real money...not grannys bingo stash..so I am willing to pay for extra support. We have been with auctiva for 2 years and really dont have time to learn a new system. Tom where do you want the check sent>>>...

OK, I'm not some wizbang programmer or anything but this worked for me on all three of my computers. Start up your computer, open Ebud, open Feedback manager, then click on get all feedback. Depending on how many you have this will take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour. It worked the first time on two of my computers but crashed onece and then worked the second time on my third computer. I think what happened was the feedback file got corrupted when it was locking up so this basically overwrites the file from scratch.

that there are lot's of different user's that use their product's and just doesn't listen to the one's that are free to say how to spend everybody's money instead of just their own. Maybe some of us would not like to have their phone support that may make prices go up on their product's that would affect everybody down the road. Phone support is great if needed and should not be anything that is mandantory or shoved down anyone's throat. Ebay is generally the one's that break this software with their piddly changes and calling auctiva support to say it is broken is not helping to get it fixed. I am not here to make friends either on this subject. Their support has worked great for me like it is. BF
