Last night, my husband wanted to purchase a new cellphone. I suggested that he patronize one of our AC stores and when he agreed, I pulled up the AC Mall site. When I went up to bed, my husband was just sitting down to start shopping. This morning, he told me that he gave up and bought his phone from another site online because he "could not get anywhere through the mall sites...".
Seems there have been multiple issues with the mall site for awhile now. Does anyone know what the plans are in terms of when the mall will be fully functional? Someone lost a sale last night, and that's a shame.

By Mall do you mean the user generated mall or the Search function from www.auctivacommerce.com?

Donna,

The only thing I know from AC on the mall is this thread http://community.auctiva.com/e...?r=66310669#66310669 where Jeff said it would be changing in a couple of weeks.

The problem with www.auctivacommerce.com & the Shop option: the first thing a buyer would normally do is use the search option. The search works fine, but when you click on the search results, either the store name or item, you cannot connect with the store selling the item. If you pick a featured seller you will connect with the store, but there is no way to connect to a store you find through the search.

Carolyn, That's exactly what happened. Oh, and last night, my husband bought me a new phone, so that's 2 sales that I truly wish could have gone to an AC store. Frown

Comtiva, Yes, the one you linked is the one I'm talking about. It's a shame that it isn't working correctly. I know that there are many other issues ahead of this, and that's fine with me, but I'd rather not have the link "out there" if it isn't functional. Roll Eyes

I didn't know this feature existed - but I just tried it and it worked for me - I typed in 'fairy' and several items from my store showed up, and I was able to click straight through to them. (It possibly helped that I have just added some items, so they are right at the top of the list)

I did a search for "invitations" and I got a few hits from my site, but these are items that I deleted as my supplier has discontinued them. I managed to not only bring up the old item, but also put 50 of them in my cart and proceed to checkout.

Is this a bug?? What if buyers find products we no longer sell using this feature??? (fat chance I know but heck...)

The reason that you can't get anything to come up is because they have coded all the links wrong.

This is what they coded:

This is what it should be:

They have added www.auctivacommerce.com to every link and have left out the back slash between the .com and the page name.

Really inspires confidence, huh?

This issue looks to have been resolved. I tested a few search terms on the Shop page at www.auctivacommerce.com and all the product links I clicked on were correct. Any specific search term that caused an issue?

Last few items that I've bought from Auctiva Commerce Sellers:
Some very interesting stamp sheets from http://stamps4yourpleasure.auctivacommerce.com
A few classic movies from http://musicandmovieuniverse.auctivacommerce.com

Chris,

Read earlier in this same thread there is a full example of an item and what the links were doing. How and who and when it was fixed we are not sure, but the above was what was occurring. Several of us have tested it and it does appear to be working correctly now, but it certainly wasn't before.

My links are now working, and the problem I had referenced above seems to be fixed. I went through the same steps that gave me the error before and was successful in getting to the items and stores that came up in my search.

Thanks

Hi,
I thought this was just me! I can search but when I click on an item this is what I get-
Server Error in '/' Application.
The resource cannot be found.
Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Requested URL: /rocfeathers.auctivacommerce.comPeacock-blue-Lab-Opal-Cabochon---X-mm-Oval-P183945.aspx
(used one of my own here, but came across the problem while searching for other stuff from other stores)

Hope it gets fixed soon!
Sheila

Looks like I spoke too soon - I am now getting the same error message as Sheila, on a link that was previously working:

The current shop tab is horrible. It was only meant to get something out really quick to be able to search though all the stores items. We have a much better version coming out in the next week.
