I am new to Auctiva. I have a listing that ended which I started on ebay. I printed the ship label from my computer as I always do and put it on the package and I paid the amount due to paypal. When I went to the Auctiva site, I see that there was a note that I owed $1.45 for the shipping insurance that the person purchased. I already purchased insurance thru paypal. What do I do with this charge? It said that the buyer wanted the ins. thru Auctiva.

srrdar, you and I have the exact same question and I have yet to get the answer. I am unsure why the buyer is paying for insurance and we are being charged as well, I thought
auctiva was free? Hopefully someone can answer this question. I'm pulling my hair out!

I THINK you have to disable Auctiva's checkout in your Account Settings. I was used to using Ebay's checkout so when I signed up with Auctiva I disabled it right away. It's been a long time tho, so I'm not sure about this. File a support request (help button, top of page) and ask them directly.

The charge is for Auctiva insurance that provided via the checkout. I think the idea is that you can charge the buyer 1.70 for insurance in your shipping charges but then you pay 1.45. So, you pocket .25 per listing.

If you want to change this, go to your Account (top right of your home page at Auctiva) and then choose "Checkout Settings" and then learn more about the insurance provided by Auctiva and if you want you can disable it on that page.

If you disable it, your listings should reflect this when you expand the shipping settings on each listing.

Hope this helps.
