I am just getting started listing on ebay with Auctiva -- confused about profiles, templates, etc.-- keep getting slowed down by this message:
"Script warning
A script on this page is causing mozilla to run slowly. if it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive.

Do you want to abort this script?"
choices are "OK" or "Cancel"
why is this happening? how can i stop it? thanks for help

I'm getting this same error when using Firefox. Is there a fix for it yet?

I get a message on IE7 (surprise, NOT). Mine is about the security certificate. It's a pain in the butt and have to X it out over & over again.

AUCTIVA HAS NOT ADDRESSED THIS! They say it's a problem with firefox, not them. How feeble. It's very annoying and has not gone away. I went to the firefox boards and someone there suggested something very technical, which i was afraid to mess with and which was never explained fully how to do it -- change some variable somewhere -- firefox has very feeble support also. THIS IS DISAPPOINTING!

I get the same error. I use Firefox under Linux and Auctiva support told me to try a different browser since my OS isn't supported. Everything worked fine earlier this week. I have tried to post auctions all week with no luck.

Hi Community,

I have spent some time researching this issue and, according to the articles I have read, I believe this problem is associated with add-ons that may be installed on your Firefox web browsers.

In order to reslove this problem, please select "Add-Ons" from the Firefox "Tools" menu. Then, click disable next to the first add-on, return to the Auctiva website to check if the error is still being generated. Repeat this process for each additional add-on until the problem is resolved or you have disabled all of your add-ons. If the problem is resolved after you have disabled a certain add-on, feel free to re-enable all of them except for that specific one.

-Mike

yep! auctiva mike is right. the issue IS with firefox (or IE7).

....i used to get them all the time, but with the many different "tweeks" i've done with my computer, they don't pop up any longer....plus, with an extra virus or 2 that i recently had, i've just wiped-out and re-did my computer from scratch....pain in the arse....but part of the craziness i have being online 24/7! LOL

auctiva works great...you should've been here before xmas of last year....now THAT was frustrating....but it's been smooth sailing ever since! i think it's just a matter of the "newbies" learning the program and researching the answers before they start "complaining" about stuff!

just ask your questions, there are many of us on here that will be happy to answer and solve your issues! no problem! Big Grin

cheers and good luck!
