Can anyone out tell me what I need to do to start an eBay business?
I already know how to sell fairly well.
What I need to know is:
How do I pick a date to start? I changed my eBay ID on May 1 so I could keep my feedback score.
Do I need a tax ID? Sole proprietorship?
I have been selling on eBay for awhile and have over 200 items for sell. How do I determine a starting inventory?
I have a checking account and Paypal account already to go.
Any advise is appreciated. I emailed eBay twice on this and got no response back.

hi Jan,

well I can't really answer your questions except for the last bit about emailing eBay. Don't do it! There is a better way to communicate with eBay and that is by using their Live Help service. You get to text chat with a real eBay help person in real time. The easiest way to find live help is to click on 'Sell' (as though your about to post a listing) and then click on the 'Live Help' button.

Hi Jan - There are some great books on eBay that you might want to check out, both in the Computer section and Business section of the bookstore. Michael Miller of Que Publishing is very good. He has two books specifically for starting an eBay business, and I've seen quite a few more. Good Luck.
