And after only a year.

I used BidPay for International payment because PayPal gives no protection whatsoever. I'm sorry to see them go.

They would actually answer the phone and be helpful where PayPal's customer service is a joke.

Well that's a shame...I've never used them but I had heard good things.

Paypal is owned by Ebay, which is why their customer service is a joke.

I seem to recall eBay originally had their own payment system, can't remember what it was called, and PayPal was a searate company - then eBay bought them because they were better than their own one. Some time ago I think.

You are correct. It was called, "Billpoint" and it was a complete disaster. Sad thing is once eBay purchased PayPal, it has become just as much a disaster.

I offer Google Checkout to all of my customers in my end of auction e-mail and only accept Google Checkout for online payments from international and have had great success doing so. Wouldn't think of accepting PayPal from international. That's like putting gas on the fire.

As far as Bidpay, ever since their first go around didn't work out so well, I never even bothered to use them the second time around, especially with their fees to do so.

Hi, I just read what you said about having Google Checkout. Can you explain why Google is better than Paypal, especially for international payment? Any downside to Google Checkout as compared to Paypal? Thanks

I am curious as to why PayPal is not recommended for International payments? I have shipped to 6 different countries and they all have paid through PayPal. I have had no issues.

I would like to know what happened on your end, so at least I can keep my eye out. Thanks in advance.
