We have a steel engraving of a woman holding a parasol, but we don't read German (we THINK) it's German) so we don't know the actual name of the image. Can anybody help? Thanks much in advance. - Maria

The single word on the bottom is the word

"Awaiting"

I hope this helps.

It seems like that the small writing means:

gem. (painted) v. (by) O. Erdman (name)

Then the word below means "Awaiting" (maybe the name of the painting).

I'm German, born and raised in Germany, and I translated this to the best of my knowledge.

If you need any more information, please let me know.

Thank you! We tried using Babelfish and got nothing. German letters don't always look (to me, anyway) like what they are...I probably misread them. I really appreciate your help...now I can revise my ad! - Maria
