Hello, I hope someone out there can help me with this. eBay has canceled my listings saying I was using a inappropriate link. That link is to my Auctiva store which as you know links back to eBay. Auctiva is an approved site that eBay even recommends to sellers to use. eBay Trust & Safety Department canceled my listing for everthing except the items that were up on auction at the time of the listings cancellations. I have emailed Trust & Safety department 4 different times also 2 times I have contacted (by emailed) Suspended or Blocked Accoumts Department: niether department has returned my emails and this all happened the morning of Friday April 18, talked with "eBay Live Help" 2 times and they of course couldn't do anything. I even tried calling eBay got nowhere with that. Auctiva did response to me in a timely manner and said they didn't understand what is going on either Auctiva is approved by eBay and I had only eBay auction items in my Auctiva Store.
As of this posting I still have not heard a word from eBay and they have left my account still a mess, with some of my invoices totally missing others have missing items on the invoices. It's a nightmare. ANY SUGGESTIONS OTHER THAN LEAVE EBAY?? flowersbygenevieve

I don't think Ebay would pull your listings because of an Auctiva link. I pulled up some of your completed listings (if it is indeed you, your user name is the same) and found a link to your dot com site...
THE FOLLOWING ARE THE EMAILS BETWEEN ME AND AUCTIVA SUPPORT. PLEASE NOTE IN MY EMAIL TO AUCTIVA SUPPORT I ASKED THAT VERY QUESTION SHOULD I USED ANOTHER LINK ADDRESS? ALSO I ASKED THAT VERY SAME QUESTION TO EBAY TRUST & SAFETY DEPT (no response from eBay it's been 39 hours since I first emaled eBay)
Hello, eBay indeed has cancelled my listing on items that have already sold and not sure may not allow the items up for auction with current bids on to go through. All because they say I am using an inappropriate link to Auctiva. I have email them with no response back from them. Is it that I should of used another link address? Do have the link address incorrect. I REALLY WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR HELP ON THIS!!!!!!!! THE FOLLOWING IS THE EMAIL I RECEIVED FROM EBAY TODAY!
The listing was removed because it violated the eBay Inappropriate Links policy. The violation occurred when you included the following information in your listing:
We notified members who placed bids on the item that the listing has been canceled.
A link is any mechanism that takes a user to another Web site. Links can appear in the form of text, images, logos, or icons. They can be clickable or not.
Sellers can include some types of links in their listing if those links are intended to give potential buyers more detailed information about an item in their listings. However, listings that describe or link to Web sites offering to trade, sell, or purchase goods or services outside of eBay are not permitted.

Dear flowersbygenevieve,
Thanks for contacting us regarding this matter, and I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you encountered. The link to your Auctiva store actually is allowed to be present in your item descriptions in accordance with eBay's "Links Policy", which can be reviewed on the following page of eBay's help index: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/listing-links.html. The main reason this type of link is allowable is because your Auctiva store ONLY displays items that you are currently running on eBay.
Since eBay removed your listings due to the presence of this link, unfortunately, it appears that an eBay "Trust and Safety" employee made a mistake at your expense. I can only speculate as to the exact details of the removal of your listings, but I suspect a competitor of yours may have reported that you had an objectionable link in your descriptions and that the eBay employee handling the case went ahead and removed your listings without thoroughly investigating the contents of the link.
At this point, I recommend following up with eBay's customer support department for further clarification on the details of the removal. If you have any additional questions or concerns pertaining to your Auctiva account, please feel free to let me know, and I'll be happy to continue assisting you.
Sincerely, Auctiva Support

After receiving the response from another Auctiva member I again contacted Auctiva Support Team and asked the question again "Is this link not allowed to be used on my auction pages on eBay and the Following is the response I received from Auctiva! (Now it has been 72 hours and still no a word from eBay). I have been straightening out this mess with my customers (some had items canceled completely others were just missing an item)by re-listing as a "Buy it Now' auction (so not to break any of eBay's rules by adding on to orders) YES, I will end up paying double Insertion & FV fees. But, my customers and my plants are the most important things in my business and the money always (knock on wood) follows!
Dear flowersbygenevieve,

Previous Comment: 4/21/2008 11:03:28 AM Hello, I have not received a response from eBay regarding the canceled listing (it's been over 39 hours since I first wrote eBay) Yesterday I posted on Auctiva Communtiy "eBay Talk" to see if anyone out there could help me with this. I did get a response from a Auctiva member telling me that I AND NOT use www.flowersbygenevieve.com! Is this true?? Does this mean I can not tell anyone about my Auctiva store or it's link?? Do I have the link address wrong?? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! I am truly at a loss. Some of my invoices are still missing and other invoices are just missing items.

Dear flowersbygenevieve,
Thanks for following up with us regarding this matter, and I'm sorry to hear you have not received a response from eBay. I'm not quite sure why a member on our community advised you not to place your custom domain in your auction description, as placing such a link in your description should be acceptable according to eBay's "Links Policy". The only reason I can think of that eBay may have removed these listings would be if the eBay employee did so mistook what the link was pointing to.
If you want to be on the safe side, you may want to exclude this link from your descriptions until you hear back from eBay's customer support team on this matter. However, as I said, you should be able to place this link in your auctions according to the policies eBay has posted on their website.
If you have any additional questions or concerns pertaining to your Auctiva account, please feel free to let me know, and I'll be happy to continue assisting you.
Sincerely, Auctiva Support

The listing was removed because it violated the eBay Inappropriate Links policy. The violation occurred when you included the following information in your listing:
It's very simple really...Your dot com link is NOT allowed, it is NOT an Auctiva link.
Your Auctiva link can be found by clicking on Store at the top of the page...the link you will see there IS allowed. You can use that one with no problems

The link "flowersbygenevieve" was referring to is actually just a link to her Auctiva store, for which she purchased a custom domain. Since her Auctiva store only displays her listings that are active on eBay at any given time, according to eBay's "Links Policy", that specific link actually should be permissible. In this case, the eBay employee who removed her listings assumed the link was prohibited without thoroughly investigating the contents of the associated site, which eBay eventually acknowledged.
