I have found that their referral URL isn't the best for promoting such a site and a shorter URL or even a domain name works much better.
We have tied these 2 domains to our big crumbs accounts and our referrals jumped the second we did this.
When people join under us we promote their referral ID and give them a jump start on their referrals. We are putting at least 3 referrals in place for anyone who joins under one of our 2 domains below.
We are now taking 10 new referrals directly under us. Once we reach 10 new referrals our 2 domains will point towards our new referrals ID and we promote for them. We do this on a first come first served basis. The first person to join is the first person we promote till they have at least 3 referrals in thier down line.
Once each of our 10 new referrals "Directly under us" have at least 3 people under them we then continue promoting the members directly under them. We do this 3 levels deep. In short, in the end we will end up putting about 90 members in your down line for you and we do this absolutely free.
