I have used an incremental name to identify the version of the custom template as it slowly takes shape. Trouble is when looking at a listing later I cannot determine which version of the custom template I have used.
If you click 'modify layout' next to the template icon on the create listing page, it should pop open a window showing the template name in the upper-left-hand corner.
For our next release we are also introducing a feature where you can associate icons or thumbnails to each custom template and identify them easier that way, instead of just the generic 'custom template selected' image.
