Error Message: PayPal is the only valid payment method for an AutoPay item.

This is the error message I get when I try to post an item with the Immediate Payment option for Buy It Now...(PayPal is the only method of payment I have listed)
anybody else seeing this?..It didn't do this when I posted auctions two days ago..

I am also getting an error that will not allow me to schedule a batch or direct list.

The error I am getting is

Error Code: 238

Error Message: The payment terms you have selected are not valid for the site you are listing on.


Anyone else getting this????

I am getting the same messages as well. Started last evening. The message I am getting is:

Whaddupp with that?? My preferences and templates have not changed at all. Worked fine yesterday morning!!!!

Yeppers I'm getting the same errors, I'm not able to list ANYTHING! it always works that way, when your ready to list, something is wrong.

I'm only guessing here (and freaking at the idea I may not be able to list!) Is it possible that you have something on Buy It Now or HAD something on Buy It Now? If you check autopay (if its what i'm thinking it is) you have to be selling on BIN.

I may be misunderstanding you but that's my helpful hint for the day.

You ARE doing BINs......sorry. I'm so helpful I out-help people sometimes!!

Hi- I was having the same problem as you. So I tried playing with the payment options.
Go to the general tab and click on the shipping and payment option button. If the "other" is selected it will not post.

Try it without it selected, it worked for me.

It has been ALMOST 2 WEEKS!! The only way I can post is to go to shipping and payment options under the "General" tab, remove (unclick) "requires immediate payment" and post. I then have to go into the new auction after posting and revise it by going into the payment options and reselecting immediate paymen required for buy it now items.

This is a pain and very time consuming. Are we going to get this fixed???

I do remember reading where ebay was taking off the COD and "OTHER" (not other online, but OTHER) options, but it sounds as though you may need to go in and edit your Auctiva personality and if you are NOT doing BINs, uncheck the PAY ME NOW square AND be sure you don't have a BIN price in there. If You ARE doing BINs, you have to be sure both things are checked off in your Auctiva personality.

IT's a pain, especially when you're revising because those two things are in two different areas on the SYI form, so check your "Personality" and be sure you don't have the "Requires Immediate Payment" thingy checked. AND that you don't have anything checked under BIN (and vice versa).
