I recently changed all of my store categories. How do I get Poster to show the changes so that I don't have to manually go in and change them every time I list?

Thanks!

First: The automatic custom store category name synchronization feature in Auctiva Poster had to be disabled as per eBay's request.

Second: The custom store category names in Auctiva Poster are merely cosmetic. If you renamed custom store category #2 to "phones" and you want to put your listing in your "phones" category... Just select "Category 2" in the Store Category drop-list. It will still work.

Third: Until we come up with a fix, you can synchronize your custom store categories in Auctiva Poster with the ones on eBay by:

1) Create a text file in your "Auctiva Poster" folder, name it <your eBay user name>StoreCats.txt (e.g. "ARowanStoreCats.txt").
2) Use a simple text editor, like Notepad, to add EXACTLY 20 lines. On the first line put your first custom store category name, on the second line put your second name, and so on... Blank categories on eBay require a blank line in the file. Leave the last line (line 20) blank.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Ken. I had noticed that the categories were cosmetic. It is a pain to have to remember which one the new one is though. I tried what you suggested by making a category list in Word. I saved it to my Program Files under the Auctiva Poster program as you said. When I go to create a new listing, it still shows up the way that it was. What could I be doing wrong?

Thanks for your help!

Don't use Word. The file has to be saved as plain text. Try using the Notepad program that comes with Windows.
