Hi

If you list using the standard shipping it will show as 'free' shipping on ebay.

It's due to an eBay API change require by eBay. We can probably have an update done
on late Saturday or middle of Sunday. It should be a website change only.

It's purely a coincidence that it happened when we released 4.00 and thus has NOTHING
to do with the 4.00 release.

Please watch the community boards for a update from Kevyn as to when the fix has been applied.

Thanks
Ed

I understand that errors are made, and that you do your best to remedy them. Last night about 100 of my scheduled auctions were sent to ebay for posting. This morning a customer sent me an email asking about the Free shipping I was offering. I just spent several hours revising and cancelling auctions due to the Free Shipping error you describe above that afffected all of my auctions. If at the time you had posted your above comments, you had also sent out an email to subscribers advising us of the problem, I could easily held back the uploading of my scheduled auctions until the problem was fixed. As it happens, all to often, we learn about new Auctiva ebay problems from customers and not from Auctiva, so I did not learn of the problem until this morning. Sending your customers email alerts when there are new and serious problems should be the first thing Auctiva does after confirming that a problem is real - it would save us a lot of time and avoid additional problems. You owe this to us, it is the responsible thing to do, and Auctiva needs to start this practice immediately. Thank you.

Ed, Just wanted to know that when the flat rate shipping button gets fixed will that also fix the caculated shipping also? everytime I "post now" with the caculated rates on Poster it gives me this:
"Error in Listing
Error Code: 10019
Error Message: You specified inconsistent Shipping parameters: <ShippingServiceOptions>=null and <ShippingType>=ACTUAL"

So I just click on no shipping details and then manually go into ebay to put in the shipping caculator. Was just wanting to know if the fix would also fix this problem.

Also on the flat rate shipping details, will you have to put a button in there so it will give you the options of which shipping service you will use, I noticed I had to choose a service when I revised the "Free shipping" problem with my auctions, Any information would be helpful. thank you

I am sure the programmer will look into all of this

If it's part of the API we submit to all of these features should be there.
It must be some change that was done
It has been reported Smile

Thanks
Ed

I totally agree that Auctiva had an obligation to email us all and give us the head's up ~ I made that suggestion in the thread I started when I discovered the problem ~ I really feel that dropped the ball by failing to do that once the problem was reported ~

I just tried to post again and now I'm getting this message.
quote:
Error in Listing
Error Code: 35
Error Message: Invalid user name or password. The username/password pair specified for the user is not valid. You may not use an email address as a username if the member has a User ID.

I couldn't post yesterday because of the shipping erroe message described by another poster. This is getting annoying, I thought the poster already used the ebay api so there wouldn't be problems like this.

Ironically, both these errors occured because we use the eBay API!!! Both errors are fixed now. Sorry for the frustrations.

Thanks Ken, I was able to post just now with no apparent problems. There is still a problem with saving a listing however. The shipping terms are not saved when the listing is saved. The shipping details have to be filled in when the listing is opened up again. Any fix for that?

I can't BELIEVE this. This ERROR is going to cost me a LOT of $, because I didn't find out that ALL of my shipping costs was CHANGED to FREE until many bids were already posted. Auctiva, you knew about this problem. Would it have been so HARD to send a broadcast e-mail to your paying customers to warn of this??

I contacted ebay the on Friday night April 30. Ebay seemed to think that the free shipping was their error, and were fixing it. ????
