I'm glad to see you guys fixed the pictures. It's a shame it took so long. Unfortunately, sellers like me who sell things that rely completely on pictures lost out big time this week. We have never lost so much money selling on eBay in over 5 years.. Frown

It cost us more to list this week's auctions than we made in profit not to mention the loss in merchandise (the few items that did sell, sold at a total loss). SIMPLY PUT - Nobody is going to buy a wedding dress if they can't see what it looks like. Didn’t you guys realize you needed a backup system if you were going to offer and charge for image hosting. Frown

I realize "things happen" and I have been a loyal customer for many years. However, how can an internet base company not have a backup server?? Your negligence cost others a lot of money and business. You have done nothing to acknowledge your mistake and taken no stance to compensate your customers for what they have lost (not even an apology). Yet, you are right on top of things when it comes to nickel and diming us (for even the slightest overage on the image hosting). Confused

I filed a support request to try and change my images over to eBay while you were down and received a reply of "Please contact eBay for this information”. I replied that eBay does not support “outside” software and was told by Auctiva “I would suspect they would care less about your situation”. This was NOT eBay’s problem, it was Auctiva’s problem Mad!!

I hope you guys survive this latest crisis, if you do, it will be because of your long time loyal customers whom you did a total injustice to by not helping them during them during YOUR crisis.

Like everything in life, "stuff" happens, sometimes it's our fault sometimes some elses and sometimes it's nobody's fault. When something does go amiss, you can scream and complain or you can direct that energy to helping yourself...that howerver does not seem to be an option for our society anymore. If your car breaks down on the way to an important sales appointment or job interview, do you ask the manufacturer to reimburse you for a loss you may or may not have incurred? There were many easy (and inexpensive)ways to add photos while Auctiva's photo hosting was down I found three ways to do it and used all three with success. The sellers that have hundreds of lisitngs were the ones that were truely in a bind as it would be too time consuming to modify so many listings. Auctiva has the best auction software, or we would not continue to use them, and their fees are quite reasonable. Like other Auctive members I am more then satisifed with the service provided and turn down any offer for compensation. Life has risks, we live with them.
