Does anybody know whether IE can get to the point where it's corrupt or otherwise goofed up to the stage where you need to reinstall it?

And do you have to reinstall windows to do it? That's what evil son in law said. *I* don't think so.

Help - I really need it!!

Hello Jan,

First of all I suggest you try Mozilla Firefox that just came out yesterday. I've really gotten hooked on it while playing with the betas the past few months. It will automatically import your bookmarks, cookies, etc from IE.

If you need to reinstall IE, I recommend you reinstall Service Pack 2 for WindowsXP. (I'm guessing you are running XP) That should do the trick.

IE is used by the Auctiva products even though you may not use IE as your default browser. It's used in the background though OS API calls. So Jan's question could be a yes.

But for basic browsing, anyone stil using IE is looking for other trouble. Use Mozilla or Firefox. Do yourself a favor.
