If anyone can offer help, please do, or I'll go to support. Thought I'd try here first. I installed a Netgear Wireless Router and a Netgear WG511 Wireless card for my laptop. Everything works fine until I try to post auctions. At the FTP window, as it uploads, the program locks up and will not work. I use Auctive as my FTP host option (Option 1, Auctiva FastPix). When I disconnect the wireless and go back to my broadband modem connection, FTP works fine. Options in Auctiva poster doesn't change problem. Any ideas? Thanks, thejordanman
If so, try disabling the firewall for the wireless adapter and see if that works. If it does, try to create an exception for the adapter so FTP will work.
Tom it sounds as if it was working fine until they changed network adapters. In SP2 every adapter is now behind the firewall by default, with the strongest settings by default, and each adapter has independent exception settings (even on/off).
I've *never* been able to list auctions from my laptop. I save all my auctions on it, and then have to transfer them to my other PC to actually list. If I hit the "post" button from my laptop, I get kicked off the internet - and I have DSL connection (this also happened when I had hish speed cable) and then have to reboot.

Thanks for the input. I'm using Windows 2000 Professional. I don't see any option changes within the NetGear Wireless program, or anything to help. I've tried changing my Internet Settings within Auctiva Poster, and that didn't help. Other than FTP problem, everything works fine, with my connection, downloads, updates with Ebud, etc.. Have had no problem posting until I went wireless. Anyway, will keep trying to solve. Any further advice is appreciated. Thanks, thejordanman
I'm having the FTP freeze too. NOT on laptop; not on XP and no firewall. I haven't listed in over two weeks because of computer problems, but ftp wasn't one of them. I'm back on a dial-up modem after 3 years of RoadRunner and DSL.
All of a sudden today, as soon as I hit ftp, it freezes. I use my (dopey) son in law's ftp for my pix and as far as I know, he hasn't cut me off on THIS particular thing. I can get into the ftp space directly; Poster won't go anywhere.
