I have used Auctiva for four years. I considered myself computer savy, but I only realized the power of Auctiva templates a few weeks ago. All this time I have used a blank template with only the Description field included. Then I edited an entire page of html for each auction. It took me about about 5 minutes to create a new auction.

Now I realized what templates can do for me, I created a template that looks identical to my current auction page, and have the different fields populate into the page very easily. It takes me less than a minute to create a new auction.

The only thing I can't find....Is there a way to make the Auction Title populate into the page? Any tag for the title Tom?

Sorry, I said templates, I was talking about the themes. I basically had been using a blank theme, with only a description field. I would have to edit an entire page of html for every auction. I'd have to paste the URL for the picture, change the description, etc.

Now, I created a custom theme to match my current auction pages. I have the Picture and description tags embedded into the theme, so I don't need an HTML editor now, I simply paste the URL for the picture, and the new description into auctiva, update the title and price and all the information is populated into the page. I had no idea it was so easy to customize the themes, or that by doing so I would save so much time.

Is there a tag for the auction title? I would like to populate that into the page as well. If not, I'll just use the OTHER tage and paste the title the same as I do the description.

Um, Brent?

Why do you need a tag for the title? Am I misunderstanding you? Why not just use the TITLE line in the theme?

I have a bazillion themes but the one thing I never have to insert is the title - I just use the TITLE line. If you want to check out my auctions and see if I know what you're talking about, let me know. Always here to help! :-)
