Yesterday I finally downloaded Auctiva 4.0...not nuts about it but I can live with it as long as I go in and revise every auction after I post it!

But it just took me an hour to post ONE auction because
quote:
Error Code: 353
Error Message: Either your Description, Location, or Checkout Instructions has Java script that is not allowed.
I still include backgrounds in my auctions because I use them in tables, even though they don't show up on the top of the page and I remember that THEY have (or had) Java in them, so I went back to the template and took it out. Didn't work. Got the message again.
It took me FOREVER to figure out that it was my Postage Calculator, which, of course, I had to deep six. That is the one thing that allows people to pay with PayPal without me having to hover over the computer. (well, most of the time, not counting the people who read "This is a PayPal Only Auction" as "can you please send me your address so I can mail you a check?")
So I finally got it out and realized I had to use THEIRS and realized that I not only can't see what I'm actually posting, but that if you're not really, REALLY careful, it can cost $10 to send something three blocks away from your home. In other words, if you're not VERY precise on the size package, and you're in OHio and somebody wants to buy your 7 pound magazine rack in California, it COULD look as though it would cost almost 30 dollar in postage.
I think I understand now why I've checked the calculator on other people's auctions and they had such exhorbitant shipping!
But my question IS valid.....what IS wrong with Java? And do I have to take the backgrounds out of the background area of the template? That's how I get my border backgrounds up.
Sorry this is long, Tom, but I really WOULD like to know.
Thanks,
Jan - the Theme Queen, but they're doing their darndest to keep me from it!
