I've been a paying customer of Auctiva for more than 5 years. I've tried other services, but for ease of use and pricing, Auctiva has remained the service I have used. I am a high volume seller that has multiple accounts.
That said, you'd think I could get some kind of answer to my support requests other than, "I'll forward it to our programmers". It be nice to get someone to fix the problem, say we can't fix the problem, or even say we aren't going to fix the problem, F off! But all I get is the same "I'll forward it, no ETA".
After I downloaded the last Auctiva Poster update about 8+ weeks ago, I noticed a problem with world wide shipping. I use flat rate shipping for my a auctions. When you setup something similar to:
Flat Rate Shipping
U.S. - Standard Domestic Shipping - $19
Canada - Standard Intl Shipping - $29
Worldwide - Standard Intl Shipping - $49
When the auction is listed, it shows up like:
U.S. - Standard Domestic Shipping - $19
Canada - Standard Intl Shipping - $29
Canada - Standard Intl Shipping - $49
Tab 2 is over writing tab 3.
You'd think this would be a simple fix. After all, it has been working fine until about 2 months ago. I made the mistake of thinking it would be fixed and never filed a support request. When the feature remained broken for a few weeks, I filed a support request more than 6 weeks ago. I've received plenty of reponses, just the same, "I'll forward it, no update".
This may seem like a minor issue, but it has proven to be very costly and time consuming to me. I spend an extra hour a day answering emails from out of country users wanting to know the shipping amounts. I also have to email a lot of international buyers and resend paypal invoices because they didn't pay the correct shipping since it isn't showing up correctly.
I like Auctiva and have always referred others. I even got a plug for Auctiva in an interview I gave a few years ago.
http://www.smallbusinesscomputing.com/biztools/article.php/2176641 So the lack of support really sucks.
Also, IMHO it seems Auctiva isn't improving on what is already here. There is already a great interface, but some parts are lacking. I stopped using Ebud a couple of years ago, because there was no way to export addresses. By using another program, I was able to export addresses directly into my UPS shipping system and save a lot of time and mistyped addresses.
Also, what about relister? I'd be happy to pay $100 a month for it. The problem is there is no desktop scheduler. What is the use in having a relister if the only choice you have is to list everything at once?
I'm still using and paying for Poster. If you can make it work, it is worth more than I am paying for it. If you can add a scheduler to the relister program, it is also worth more than advertised. But broken programs and a lack of support aren't worth much.....This sucks!
