I've been a paying customer of Auctiva for more than 5 years. I've tried other services, but for ease of use and pricing, Auctiva has remained the service I have used. I am a high volume seller that has multiple accounts.

That said, you'd think I could get some kind of answer to my support requests other than, "I'll forward it to our programmers". It be nice to get someone to fix the problem, say we can't fix the problem, or even say we aren't going to fix the problem, F off! But all I get is the same "I'll forward it, no ETA".

After I downloaded the last Auctiva Poster update about 8+ weeks ago, I noticed a problem with world wide shipping. I use flat rate shipping for my a auctions. When you setup something similar to:

Flat Rate Shipping

U.S. - Standard Domestic Shipping - $19

Canada - Standard Intl Shipping - $29

Worldwide - Standard Intl Shipping - $49

When the auction is listed, it shows up like:

U.S. - Standard Domestic Shipping - $19

Canada - Standard Intl Shipping - $29

Canada - Standard Intl Shipping - $49

Tab 2 is over writing tab 3.

You'd think this would be a simple fix. After all, it has been working fine until about 2 months ago. I made the mistake of thinking it would be fixed and never filed a support request. When the feature remained broken for a few weeks, I filed a support request more than 6 weeks ago. I've received plenty of reponses, just the same, "I'll forward it, no update".

This may seem like a minor issue, but it has proven to be very costly and time consuming to me. I spend an extra hour a day answering emails from out of country users wanting to know the shipping amounts. I also have to email a lot of international buyers and resend paypal invoices because they didn't pay the correct shipping since it isn't showing up correctly.

I like Auctiva and have always referred others. I even got a plug for Auctiva in an interview I gave a few years ago. http://www.smallbusinesscomputing.com/biztools/article.php/2176641 So the lack of support really sucks.

Also, IMHO it seems Auctiva isn't improving on what is already here. There is already a great interface, but some parts are lacking. I stopped using Ebud a couple of years ago, because there was no way to export addresses. By using another program, I was able to export addresses directly into my UPS shipping system and save a lot of time and mistyped addresses.

Also, what about relister? I'd be happy to pay $100 a month for it. The problem is there is no desktop scheduler. What is the use in having a relister if the only choice you have is to list everything at once?

I'm still using and paying for Poster. If you can make it work, it is worth more than I am paying for it. If you can add a scheduler to the relister program, it is also worth more than advertised. But broken programs and a lack of support aren't worth much.....This sucks!

Hi
The program can just use one of each type of shipping methods per listing.
Two of the same is not getting passed to ebay correctly
It has been reported to the programmers but I have no ETA on if this can be addressed on our end or not :/

Thanks

Hi Ed,

Thanks for your prompt reply. Your responses have always been timely, it is just frustrating to pay for a program that appears to no longer be supported.

Are there plans to keep this program working? If not, I'd like to know so I can start looking for something else.

I feel like the problem could be resolved. This function worked fine until the last update. I also know ebay isn't rejecting the data. I setup a temp account with Ch----l A----r and was able to pass all three amounts to ebay with no problem.

It seems everything is focused on your web based application. Frankly, I've tried it but it is setup with a similar interface as many other web based management tools that I've considered inferior to Auctiva's desktop applications. As a high volume seller, I can't use it.

So are we going to support this product or not? Does anyone have the answer?

HSCrouch, do you mind if I ask, what tips did you use to become successful using Ebay? Only if you don't mind my asking.
Kind regards

Exactly my concern. I have so many years of work invested in stored listings that I would hate to think how I would deal with Poster being shelved. It would be like starting over after I have built up volume.

If customers are fine paying for the product, don't you think having it updated and supported once in a while is worth it? Is there a way to transfer Poster listings to free site? If not, then free site is useless to me. I am fine paying for Poster but need to know if I am throwing my money at a product Auctiva has no real interest in continuing.

I think the absense of an answer speaks volumes.

Sorry to take so long on updating you on this. I've got a developer that has been looking into this. At first if looked like another issue that we had agreed to "drop duplicate shipping options" if they were exactly the same.

But, this is not a case of anything being dropped, but rather the shipping option changed from "worldwide" to "canada" and we're still looking into why this happens.
