would be nice if we got a communique from Auctiva when they have this problem...picture hosting!!! MAkes me think I should just use eBay's listing service!!
Filed a support ticket and received a prompt response that this issue was a surprise to the staff and the engineers have been contacted. No improvement in the situation yet and am awaiting further update. Meanwhile, no pictures, loss of sales and the obvious embarrassment at the unprofessional appearance of my listings.....
I received the same reply after filling out a support ticket yesterday evening. However pictures are still NOT showing. In fact, what's happening now is when you view one of my auctions, you get a LOGIN screen that pops up asking for a user name and password to some Auctiva server (pix.auctiva.com). Oh, this must look just great for people viewing my auctions. I can only imagine what they must be thinking when they see that... This isn't helping the situation any. I hope this is resolved shortly, as the pictures have been down for at least 12 hours now.
I also just noticed this window keeps coming up again and again for as many pictures as you have posted in the listing. I'm telling you, this is going to scare away the "unenlightened" who will think it is some kind of spyware/virus/hack mechanism, and that means LOST SALES because they won't come back.
Tell me about it.... I just upgraded my ebay store this week and this is the debut I make! How embarrassing! I have already experienced monetary loss for one item that went for much less than it should have. And new bids or store purchases have come to a dead halt.
Service has been wonderful for so long I am really shocked that this level of downtime has occurred. I have been with Auctiva for a long time and thought those experiences were a thing of the past. I am glad I supplemented some pics with photobucket images and salvaged at least some dignity.
I definitely want a clear explanation for this downtime so I can determine if there is enough concern to seek out alternatives. I love Auctiva products, but when there's a problem, it can sure be a doozie!
May the cyber gods smile upon us all and get things up an running normally SOON!!!

This like the old days when Auctiva's programmers didn't work weekends! I wouldn't be surprised if this problem isn't addressed until Monday, July 9.

Banish the thought! I am cringing at the possibility, of course. Let's hope this show gets on the road very soon.
This is my second day of no pics. I just tried filing a help request: the request form hasn't even been updated by Auctiva to include the 4.06 system that I am using. I got nowhere anyway- every time I tried to submit, I got a "page can't be displayed" message. I tried contacting Auctiva by phone to see if they are still in business, and just got a phone message, but may be it is too early in AM (it is 11 AM here on East Coast. Now I am thinking I should not re-list today, but wait until next Monday and see if pics are working. Anybody else having trouble filing help request??? -this doesn't inspire much confidence.

I too am disgusted. I can't list anything. The loss of revenue is getting more and more. Auctiva's support team is very slow on answering our problems. I have ask many times about putting a way to NOT offer International insurance and they keep telling me the programmers are not going to make those changes on the Poster. I have to go in and edit each and every item I post. Now this! No Pictures! Should we go ahead and try another listing program? I keep hesitating because I have over 550 items that I would have to make up new templates on. But the more and more problems that keep happening, makes me think about Vendio even more!
they keep telling me the programmers are not going to make those changes on the Poster.
Yea, this I don't understand. They offer a FREE service which they are constantly making changes too, and they offer a PAY service which, for some reason I can't figure out, pay $200 a year to use, and they NO LONGER MAKE UPDATES ADDTIONS OR IMPROVEMENTS TO IT. So, is it me, or them, that is crazy? I often wonder.
We have restored a number of our users images. If yours are not restored at this point, please let us know here and we will move your account to the top of the processing queue.

My pics are still not up. I have tried submitting help requests on the "Auctiva Poster" section of "Auctiva Classic" help page, but get "can not display page" every time I try to submit complaint. Four current auctions, and nine just concluded- not sure if it pays re-listing.

If I remember right, there is a way to have eBay recreate gallery images. Offhand I don't remember how this happens though, perhaps eBay does it automatically after a period of time if they detect the original creation of the gallery image failed?
You might want to check your My Ebay page and see if there are any alerts or anything that lets you know gallery images failed to get created.
Also, asking eBay support what to do might have to be an option as well.
If anyone else knows, please share with us!
