Hello everyone. I have been trying to post some listings onto the Ebay website from Auctiva. When I hit post, I got the usual message that said it was posting to Ebay. So, I checked My Ebay, and the listings were not there! I went back to the Auctiva website and veiwed my listings. The status of the listings that I had just sent read "Not posted: API error". I have no clue what this means, but it is preventing me from listing my items! Can someone PLEASE HELP?! Thank you! Confused

Did you rur the error check' before trying to list them? Maybe that will pick up the problem.

Look at the top of your page and you'll see 'events' with either a zero or numbers in red. If you have numbers click on them to see what happened. Also do an error check on your saved listing..if you forgot something it will tell you there.

Yes, I have already did the error check before I listed the items, but that didn't help. I clicked on the API ERROR and it said that there was something wrong with the title, description, and/or I violated Ebay policy. I renamed the title and made some changes to the description, and I really don't think that I violated any of Ebay's rules. I tried relisting one of my old items and the same thing is happening.

What are you selling? Is it a designer name? And are you trying to list for 1 or 3 days instead of 7? If you're a relatively new seller you probably won't be able to list it. Just ebay's way of cracking down on fraud.

I get them mostly because I forgot something. You should be able to click on the API error each time and it will give you a clue as to what you need to do. Ebay does not allow some words as they may be too suggestive for general public. Just go a bit slow and double check everything and you will get it going.

Hi 2-sisterz.
I don't think that's the case here...read the wording of Ebay's message. This is usually indicative of a listing such as I mentioned in my above post. Simply forgetting something would only result in an error from Auctiva, easily remedied.
