I was just wondering if the site is down. I am currently unable to access www.auctiva.com. community.auctiva.com works (obviously).

Here is the name server information from my dns server for both

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: www.auctiva.com
Address: 38.102.35.18

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: community.auctiva.com
Address: 63.251.8.160

Here is a tracert to the www.auctiva.com ip address (minus the first hop):

tracert 38.102.35.18

Tracing route to 38.102.35.18 over a maximum of 30 hops

Is anyone else having this problem? Is there something going on? Help!

It looks like an internet routing issue as 8 *** is bound to be nowhere near our servers given where 7 was at. It would appear something is awry in Level 3.

The reason the message boards work is because we host them in a different location for exactly this type of situation. If you run a tracert you'd likely find it takes a different path to get to these servers and goes around whatever seems to be broken in the other one.

The only solution to something like this is to wait for them to fix it.

I have tried everything i even Reset my IE 8 to see if that works. I guess we are at The websites Mercy. We just have to wait Until they fix it! Which really sucks because I can't do anything either. I have even started listing using the ebay sell your item form. Wish I had the answer for you but I'm In the same Boat, GOOD LUCK!

I use Wide Open West (WOW), but that shouldn't matter should it? Can you get on?

I use Embarq DSL in New Jersey... so it looks like geographic location is not the issue.

And the service provider is a valid question... auctiva is not down, simply not accessible from certain locations. It is definitely a routing problem somewhere.

No, Sprint is blocking it. They are offering to terminate contracts if you have an unlimited data plan. They see it as a way to get rid of high use users.

I still can't get on auctiva. Is the server down? Even my listings that are on ebay, have all the templetes, and auctiva freebies are missing. It make it look like auctiva is lost.

Sprint and Cogent are having a "dispute". This is affecting thousands of people who do not even have those providers. Here are some articles that may help to shed some light on the situation:

You can access it through an anonymous proxy, at least until Sprint blocks anonymous proxies.

So, if I am understanding correctly, since I have Sprint-Nextel - I can't access the server at Auctiva? Any round-about ways to get there?

I am also still waiting, I cleared files, history and cookies and renewed my web browser (20 time) and still I cannot access Auctiva. I am sure there are many others, they simply aren't posting here.

To Mike D who posted this for Auctiva...

Update - This issue should now be resolved. If you continue to receive these errors, please contact our customer support team using the web form on the following page of our site: http://www.auctiva.com/help/requesthelp.aspx"

Mike, we cannot access any portion of Auctiva.com so we cannot access Customer Support either, our only support is here. If customers don't know about this site, there is no way they can contact Auctiva about issues they are having.

Auctiva, please help....the issue is not resolved. I tried logging in using an anonymous proxy and that works sort of, but you can't use any of the features correctly.

Please help...we have no way to contact support. This community is th only thing that works.

It is a Sprint and Cogent issue, and Auctiva is a victim here. Use an anonymous proxy and you will have access. Complain to Sprint and maybe they will stop blocking access.

To use an anonymous proxy, go to their site and then enter the auctiva address. Google to find a proxy you like, I am not going to recommend any specific proxy.

galvez, can you please suggest a proxy to use by emailing me at mattandleah@yahoo.com? I can't seem to find one that will let me log on and perform any functions. All of the ones that I try either don't bring up the login, or the links don't seem to want to work in Auctiva. Isn't there a way Auctiva can mirror their site on a different server? Is there phone support for Auctiva?

thanks so much.
