Hi

I’m new to Auctiva and having a few teething problems. Hoping someone can help me. I’m switching over from Turbo Lister.

First of all, I often use old listings as a base for my new ones – but Auctiva only seem to show up a certain number of recent ones to choose from. I tried using ones in completed auctions, but couldn’t seem to reuse them. Do I need to save listings to be able to reuse them as a base as a later date?

Is there a faster or automatic way of saving listings? The way I’ve done it is to save it, but then have to go in the folder to post it. Can I save and post at the same time?

I’m also having some frustrating speed issues. Maybe it’s a security setting on my computer… any suggestions anyone?

Any help would be much appreciated Smile

Mel

If you "POST" straight away when editing a listing, it will save it automatically.

You can choose the "Create similar" option to duplicate one of your current listings, then edit it and save it as a new one.

What kind of speed issues are you having, specifically?

mmm... I would think so. When you create a new listing, or create similar, it puts you directly into the listing editor, doesn't it? As long as you post directly from the editor screen, I think it will save as well.

I don't know this specifically from asking someone from Auctiva, just from trying it myself, so...

I was afraid to take a chance on losing out on saving by testing it...

Hi Mel,

When you create a listing it will save a copy to your "saved listings folder" whether you save, schedule or post it directly from the listing page.

Any listings you save will stay in your "saved listings folder" until you delete them. I have over 1100 listings in mine that I relist and revise as needed. A few date back to Oct 2006.

If you revise a saved listing and save, it will overwrite the old listing with your revisions. If you "save as new" it will save the new version and leave the old version intact so you will have two versions.

Your "saved listing folder" will show only a max of 100 listings on a page. If you have more than that, you have to scroll down to the bottom of your saved listings page and you should have links to the other pages of your saved listings on the bottom right side of the page.

Hope this helps.

Terence
