Hi all, hopefully this is an easy one. I have 200 listings, all with the "gallery" option selected, but when I review my postings, only the first 14 or so show up on the gallery of every one of them.. why? Can I adjust this? Do I have to time my listings differently to utilize the gallery in "groups" or what-not. Any insights would be most helpful!!
They only show items that are ending around the same time as the item for sale. And only a limited amount of them (14? that sounds about right)
You can *hide* certain items in your Auctiva store, which will prevent them from showing up in the scrolling gallery.
I wish there was a way that you could group items into categories, like store categories, and only other items from that category would show up there.
I also wish you could break out store categories the way I want to (I sell clothing and I cannot do a category that shows everything with L in the title for Large), but that is neither here nor there ;-)
As a general rule, the Gallery auto-updates every few hours - though the exact timing can vary a bit, depending upon server load.
It generally captures the 14 or 15 listings that are ending soonest - which keys in with most eBay buyers habit of concentrating on items ending within a few hours.
I have found that I generally list in clusters of 12-15 items, spread over an hour or so, with the clusters separated by several hours (such as doing a 'morning batch' and 'evening batch' - or the jump from an evening batch to the next day), so haven't had any particular problem with the way the Gallery works.
I would like to be able to manually select the Gallery product mix - but if we had that, then I would have to spend time 'repicking' it once or twice a day - so we're probably best as-is.
