Hi everyone,
I have noticed quite a few of you are having troubles getting you images uploaded. My will sometimes load and other times they say "failed" and "errors occured while uploading your files. Not all files uploaded." Very frustrating!! I am an experienced used and have not had this problem before. It has been going on about 1 week!

Hi tckitty, I am experiencing the same problem but if you go to help and file a support request and then click known problems it will explain how to deal with this new upload problem.
We are currently aware of an issue that is causing many attempts to upload images that are larger than 1 MB in size to result in "Failed" messages. We are going to be replacing the current images uploader on our site with new ones that will support larger file sizes over the next couple months but, until then, you will need to make sure the images you are uploading into Auctiva are smaller than 1 MB in order to upload them successfully.

You can check the size of a given image file by right-clicking on that image file and selecting the "Properties" option. If you find that they are larger than 1 MB, you will have to resize them to less than 1 MB before you will be able to upload them successfully. If you are using a digital camera to take your photos, I recommend reducing the resolution in your digital camera picture configuration.

If you find that the images you are trying to upload are larger than 1 MB and you are still unable to upload them, please let us know by filing a support request.

I'm sure I'll hear it from someone because I'm griping about a "wonderful free service", but I've had it with the picture upload problems and Auctiva problems in general. Maybe I'm the only person who feels this way, but it seems that I have one problem after another on the Auctiva site. I really thought that Auctiva was going to be a huge tool in my efforts to make a living selling on eBay, but it is costing me more money that it is saving. Normally by this time in a week I have at least 30 listings scheduled for the following week -- so far this week I have 9. I am going to start doing my listings on eBay again; I know it will cost me more money in listing fees but at least I'll have items selling. Good luck to all of the other sellers on Auctiva, I hope you have better luck than I have had. Attn "Auctiva Power People": You have a great idea here but it is VERY poorly run. I would love to continue to use your site but you've proven that you are totally unreliable.

Please give us some details as to what we should do next when we have already been told this several times. I have re-sized basically to thumbnail size to try and get some listings going.

Next idea please.

Did you try to change the settings on your camera to smaller pixel sizes?

Yep. They told me to do that in my first service request.
That is not the problem. (I can only go one more setting lower)

I have been having this same problem for several weeks now. All of my pictures are under 1M and many are under 500k. There is no rhyme or reason to when it works or not. I can start with a list of 15 to 20 pics, try uploading using every method Auctiva makes available, one or two might get through, the rest not. Try again and fail. Try again and have one go through. Try again and fail. Try again and have two go through. Then fail five times in a row.

I filed a support request. No help.

Folks, what is going on? It is NOT a "bigger than 1M" issue - it fails with 100k size photos.

Well, I do agree with the current reports of less than 1MB files failing. I just ran my standard upload test of 33 images using the Drag and Drop Uploader. Each file is 995,302 bytes for a total of 32MB (limit of the D&D). Only six of the 33 were successful. It looks like the first six were good, and then all others after failed. Odd that it didn't warn or fail until all 33 were done, and then it gave me "Errors occured while uploading your files. Not all files have been uploaded.".

Odd that I didn't get this failure on prior test after this problem started. Confused

Frankly, this seems to be more of a traffic problem. Now that it is past prime time, all of my remaining photos that repeatedly failed to upload earlier now all uploaded without a single error. I didn't do anything differently - still had the same browser window open - the only thing that changed was it was 2.5 hours later in the evening when I tried again and now no problem.

Also, the photo files ranged from 160k as the smallest to 604k as the biggest, so everything was well under the so called 1M problem area.
