I have not charged any buyer anything for insurance. Are there going to be any charges that I will have to pay from Auctiva? I am very new to ebay so I hope that I didn't get into trouble by including insurance in the shipping and handling but not charging buyer for it. HELP!

Hello Sandra.
From my understanding of USPS, the only time they include $100.00 insurance policy is when you use their Global Express service. But anything else, (ex. Priority Mail, Parcel Post), has to be purchased separately. Now, UPS has an automatic $100.00 insurance policy on anything shipped through them. That is free and included in their price.
If you are advertising that insurance is included in your S&H then what should happen is after your customer pays for their item, you come to Auctiva and purchase insurance from the transaction section, then when your customer gets a shipping confirmation email from you, they should get an email from Auctiva (which is sent by you), that insurance has been purchased for their package. This will give them detailed information on what to do if they need to file a claim.
I only do insurance through Auctiva, since you can make money doing it, and have had great success. On items that weigh more than 6 pounds I find it cheaper to ship UPS, then I add the 'free insurance' ad in my listing as an incentive to the buyer. Anything free is good right?
I hope this has helped. Let me know if you need clarification or anything else answered.
Happy selling!
Best regards,
