i would like to use the checkout with authorize.net and want to make sure that i can prevent the buyer from chaning the shipping address. it is already set like this with authorize.net but i think people will still try to do it. can the checkout just show up as billing address? thanks

I'm really really new here, but I think the setting in Auctiva only pertains to customer being able to change $$ amounts, not address stuff.

Hopefully someone that knows for sure will be along soon........

I recently added my auth/net to Auctiva's Checkout & Watched sombody go through the checkout Process from, eBays end of auction email to, print the completed invoice. I'm VERY impressed with how it "flowed", soooooo smoooooth. (sorry) To answer your question, I saw that the Buyer Could Put In Any Shipping" Address they choose. I have not found any settings through Autiva to change this. Cool

been awhile since i did the settings, so memory isnt so good. but best i recall buyer can put anything in there. The safety check is that you can set authorize.net to reject addresses that dont match up with what credit card company has on file.

of course, AVS (address verification) isnt available for all countries, which is where the CVV code check comes into play.

hmn ya my only concern is people entering someone elses credit info then asking for it to be shipped somewhere else. seems like every other person asks me that and i just cant take the risk. have already cought a few cons using someone elses credit info ... have had the same problem with paypals idiotic unconfirmed address system as well :S

way i do it with authorize.net is that i require the address and zip to match cardholder address and zip and will only ship to address and zip on file with card company.

would have to play with it again to see if there's a security hole, but i dont think there is as long as you set things right on authorize.net end. I know authorize.net sends me an email with results of security check.

easiest way to play with it, test it, is to do a penny listing in test items category and buy it with another ebay id of yours.

of course, do it as a store item so as to pay less in listing fees Wink

sorry not more help. just been too long since set mine up (i've slept since then Wink )
