New to Auctiva insurance...Seems fairly easy to use and save money, but I need to know how we are going to do in the following cases:

1) A customer bought two items but paid saparately but want to combine them in one package so to save shipping cost. Can we buy one insurance for this "combined" combined package?

2) After insurance purchased before dropping the package off at postal office, can I void the insurance purchased?


With payapl shipping, I can adjust the insured value to include the second payment item so to have the combined insurance. I can also void a printed shipping label and get postage and insurance refunded. But how I can do these with Auctiva insurance?

If the transactions were combined into one order on eBay and paid together through Auctiva Checkout, insurance can be combined for these items automatically based on your Auctiva Shipping Insurance Preferences (see MY ACCOUNT > SETTINGS > AUCTIVA SHIPPING INSURANCE SETTINGS).

But if you choose not to go this route, Auctiva Customer Support can still combine items into a single policy for you. Just give them the Item IDs when you file a support request.

For your second question, yes, Auctiva Customer Support reps also have the power to cancel policies for you if you need this done (although we discourage it because we think you're getting a really good deal with Auctiva insurance!).

(Note, if you charge the customer for insurance but you don't provide it for them, you may risk having your eBay account suspended.)
