I just signed up for Auctiva yesterday and have a number of questions, but most pressing - I had 4 auctions end last night. I have my settings set for Auctiva checkout. I have just noticed that my buyers paid $1.65 for insurance - but Auctiva says they paid $1.30. So - in PayPal the total amt paid is 35 cents more than the total amt Auctiva gives if I go and look at the item under the Sales tab.
I was hoping to use Auctiva to get all my totals off of - but it is not accurate.
PLUS - I bought the insurance off Auctiva (I had to do it manually ... not sure if that was supposed to happen)and send the confirmation email to the buyer. That email says they paid $1.30 ... I am waiting to see if they notice and ask why they overpaid by 35 cents.
Welcome to Auctiva! Since these buyers were charged $1.65 for insurance and you had to purchase the insurance policies manually through your Auctiva "Transactions" page, that is indicative that these transactions did not use Auctiva Checkout.
When the Auctiva Shipping Insurance setting is enabled in your account, your buyers of any listings that use Auctiva Checkout will be charged for insurance according to the Auctiva shipping insurance rate structure. However, the buyers of any listings that use eBay Checkout will be charged according to the USPS insurance rate structure. Since Auctiva Checkout is only used for listings that are posted through your Auctiva account while Auctiva Checkout is enabled, these items must have been posted prior to when you joined Auctiva.
You are correct that, when a buyer is charged for insurance according to the USPS rates chart and you decide to purchase insurance through Auctiva, the total paid displayed on the "View Insurance" page will be incorrect. Our developers are aware of this problem and it will be addressed with a future release, but I do not have a good idea when this development will take place at present.
