Because many countries do not accept Global Priority Mail, I keep having a problem. I want to have it set up so that when someone checks out in Auctiva, they will either pay for Global Priority (flat rate envelope)or Airmail. But I do not think the Auctiva sytem knows which countries accept Global Priority mail and which do not? Global Priority is much cheaper than Airmail. I keep getting international customers that pay for Global Priority mail, but they are from a country that won't accept Global Priority mail, so I have to write to them and tell them to send more money for Airmail. Isn't there any way to make this work?
When you are setting up the shipping options when creating your listings, under the "Global Priority" option, only check the boxes next to the countries that you can ship to via this method. Then, under "Airmail", either check the box next to "Worldwide" or only the countries that differ from those for which you are offering "Global Priority Mail".
When your customers checkout, after selecting their country, they will only have the option to choose from the shipping services that are offered to that country.
There are only nine places to place a checkmark including one for Europe.
I don't think that will work, for instance, Italy, Malta, and Greece DO NOT accept Global Priority, but they are all part of Europe. Almost all the other countries in Europe DO ACCEPT Global Priority.
I can't make everyone in Europe pay for Airmail, that's not very fair, why should someone in Germany pay Airmail of $22.99 when they can pay $9.50 for Global Priority (flat rate).
And I can't make everyone in Europe pay for Global Priority because not all countries there accept Global Priority.
And Europe is not the only place where this problem occurs, there are places in the Middle East where they accept and don't accept Global Priority. And all over the rest of the world too.
There has to be a way around this issue, doesn't anyone out there know.... Please, with sugar on top!
I'd actually prefer to delete ITALY myself since there are so many restrictions alone lol. We only have the continent option NOT an individual country actually
"A wise and frugal government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor and bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government." Thomas Jefferson, First Inaugural Address; March 4, 1801

I am also curious to know if I can specify shipping methods for individual countries, as Mike D. suggested. That would be a great improvement over selecting by continents.
