Thanks,

Hi driveantiques, You can't combine invoices through auctiva's checkout system yet. Auctiva is coming out with what they are calling - Phase II - in July and it will have the ability to combine invoices. I have read a few work arounds in the past for this problem in these boards.

Just do a search under the find tab on the main board for " Combined Invoice " and you will get all kinds of post about this topic and maybe find a good work around.

Thanks for getting back to me. I turned off my auctiva checkout for future auctions, and added the amount of the other auction to the invoice. I hope they fix that quick!
Sincerely,
Teresa

Well I am sure they will get it all worked out. The auctiva staff in my opinion are the best there is at taking care of it members. It is rare that you find a company so committed to making sure we have what we need to keep us going. Sometime's I have to pinch myself to make sure im not dreaming that it is free.

Hi Community,

We will be introducing a new checkout system in mid-late July which will be able to accomodate combined invoices. Woohoo!

Hi, I think after reading the above post, I have figured out why I can not combine my invoices, but how do you disable the check out for current auctions and future auctions? And how does this affect my insurance purchases? Any help would be great.

Hi, this is what I did: In auctiva, choose 'my account
then choose 'settings
on the first 3 squares I unchecked 'use acutiva secure checkout.
I don't know if this works though, but try it and see what happens. As far as the insurance, it seems like they still get the option?
Anyone out there, please let me know if this is right.
Good luck

Hi Thanks for the info, will fix future auctions, but not current ones. Have allot of work ahead to work around this problem. I got one person that has bought about 7 items that I am going to have speak with to adjust the invoices to work. Allot of headache for now.
Thanks, alm4900

Hello everyone,

If you disable auctiva checkout you can still manually purchase auctiva insurance for customers after they have paid for it by clicking on the Sales tab then Transactions link.

If you disable auctiva checkout as driveinantiques suggested, any auction posted afterwards will not use auctiva checkout. However, your currently running listings will still go through our checkout as this option is set at the time of posting to eBay.

Let me know if that helps,
Auctiva David

Hi David, I have a few problems that I have work out with my buyers. I always send invoices for auctions because I didn't know about the Checkout until recently. So I send invoices with shipping and insurance. Then Auctiva adds additional insurance. I understand how to fix that, but there needs to be a way to adjust the checkout even with auctions in progress or afterwards. Or a way to disable the checkout process during or after the auction. I had a system that I was using but came to Auctiva because of there ease of listing items and the insurance. Anyway, I have disabled checkout for future listings, until you can combine invoices and let me edit the invoice as I need. On another subject, How do you import files that were listed through eBay after I started using Auctiva. Auctiva imported the on going listings, but I used relist on eBay for a few items and Auctiva is not showing them in my active auctions. Any ideas?

I'm new here, so take it for it's worth.

I started using Blackthorn Pro in addition to Auctiva. To combine invoices, I use Blackthorn to issue a combined invoice. I modify the invoice to direct the buyer to PayPal and send a payment to my account. I then manually mark the items as PAID then SHIPPED as appropriate.

Even eBay has problems with combining invoices.

Hi all,

Figured out it was just easier to contact the buyer of multiple auctions and request the payment through Paypal or set up the amount to send via mail. Had the Blackthorne software and left it for Auctiva. Just never occured to run both. :O Anyway, tbanks for the info.

Well I really bummed, cause I had a person who bought 8 items and had to tell them what their total was, I dont mean to be rude, but you would have thought they Auctiva would have thought of this before.. If I had known I would have never listed my items through them. Frown

We did. We were the first to offer such a feature in our desktop software years and years and years ago. At least 5-6 years ago. Years and years before eBay ever offered anything like that.

eBay however only began offering us this functionality in their API in May even though we'd be asking for it for years. Additionally they only gave us the programming info we needed to implement it in mid March. We were already well underway building our next release at that time. While combined shipping is extremely important, it wasn't so much so that we would completely suspend what 30 people had been working on to release for eBay Live to work on it.

A couple people began work on it right away along side our other projects and it will be released in mid July.

What would be really nice is if eBay quit dropping these atomic bombs on us with too little notice. They need to be more sensitive to their partners timelines.

In the meantime, if they're paying through PayPal send them a manual invoice through PayPal. That way you can combine.

Well, is it fixed, or am I doing something wrong? It's August 6, and I've spent a few hours with a buyer over this 'combined invoice' mess. Had to refund some shipping and add a little something to items won to hopefully keep him happy.

Hi, I was wondering the same thing since the mid-July fix has passed. Until I here further on this, I am still disabling the checkout and insurance and using ebays combined invoice. Will still use Auctivas insurance for items sold. Let us know when the fix is done. Thanks, alm4900

eBay had some trouble and that's delayed things by about 2 weeks. It takes them 5-7 days to try to turn it on, then when it fails on their end they have to make a fix then wait 5-7 days again. Quite frustrating on our part.

It's supposed to be on tomorrow, Monday the 7th. We'll that's their next try, so we'll see if it works.

I'm wondering if the combining invoices is on now? I don't want to select the Auctiva invoicing feature until I know for sure, but I can't seem to find a post that says otherwise. Does anyone know if it happened this week?
Thanks!

Yes it was turned on by eBay on Monday the 7th around 1pm. It has been working correctly and we've successfully combined over 1,000 invoices now.
