My customer bought something out of my store. When she went to pay for it using Auctiva, she received an error message and was unable to complete the transaction. Any ideas?

I also had a customer get an error on checkout yesterday. So it seems like there is some problem with Auctiva checkout. My customer paid me directly via paypal, perhaps your customer can do the same.

Would they just go into their paypal account to do that? Or can they access that from ebay? Isn't there a way for them to bypass the Auctiva checkout - I seem to have customers that do that, but I'm not sure how they are doing that since I'm on this end of it!

To pay you directly -- Your customer can go to PayPal and send the funds directly to your PayPal email address. That is what my customer did and it worked fine.

I just had a customer whose session through Auctiva timed out - they could not pay. I had them pay me directly through paypal but of course then they do not get an insurance option.

You should be able to go into your Auctiva list of transactions, mark the item paid, and add insurance after the fact.

They purchased insurance through the paypal payment. Does this mean I still have to buy insurance since I received the payment for that?

I assume so.

Yes, you would have to buy insurance. It would be unethical (at the least) not to do so. You can get it through Auctiva or through the post office - of course Auctiva is a better buy. After you buy it from Auctiva you can send them an email as proof of insurance.

An Auctiva generated email that is (an option given after getting the insurance).

How do I buy insurance from Auctiva now? The view Transaction details does not give me the option.

Since they were unable to complete checkout, how do I buy insurance from Auctiva now? How can I make checkout complete manually? - Since I have been paid and am proceeding with the transaction.

Oh, Oh! Did you mark the transaction as paid on your Auctiva list of transactions? If not, you need to do that first. If you can't, you need to contact Auctiva through their contact us page. I had that happen once and I ended up not being able to get the insurance through Auctiva even though they said they would activate it... Not trying to badmouth them - just relating my experience.

Go to your sales tab. Click on transactions. Select the item they paid for. Click on the button at the top of the listings that says, "Mark as Paid."
