I heard the strangest thing recently that Google was hosting a party during ebay live to promote Google CheckOut. As Ebay heard the noise Wednesday they yanked all of their ads on Google Search almost instantly.
Google backed down for now and cancelled their party. As even till now ebay ads are not running on Google anytime soon atleast for a week it is assumed. Meg of Ebay said they will calculate the difference of not using to compare to ebays progress without Google Search. And that they have done the same to Yahoo in the past as tests.
I totally support Google Checkout and its about time we start fighting back against ebay and there reckless behavior to us sellers. I have recently checked out Overstock Auction and format the format nice as they have there own type of lister program etc. But no traffic and slightly advantagous rates over ebay. Amazon.com I find is confusing for me as a seller and buyer plus expensive. Yahoo auctions is gone now. So what do we do.
Well first of all I support Auctiva even though slow updates on inventory as mentioned last year that it would be here early 2007. But after my use in 1.5 years on a few names I find it getting better and more faster plus realiability etc. Auctiva can always change auctions is what I am replying not to forget them.
So the bottom line is we need a solution that is not greedy and that can support sellers and buyers. This news is great publicity for Google to counter move with their own auction. As there party was based on the boston tea party mentaility for not letting Google Checkout on ebay. So lets be Minute Men and write to Google and tell them we support them as long as our interests are addressed. Go Google and Crush that Great Harlot Ebay. MIKE ,
Hey is my critic Whiz BOY out there and got anything to say? Maybe this time you will agree with me. Thanks

Well Since eBay has decided to block my account, I think I will go over to eBid.net, there fees are alot lower, and it looks easy enough to use. Also there allowing those from Yahoo Auction to bring there feedback over, before Yahoo Auc. closes its doors, i wish the will take my 7 feedback, because i worked hard for it.

I was not block for selling ebooks low, if thats the case they would've blocked me sooner rather then later, but I was Block because of the eBooks, I violated the VERO, now all of the ebooks state I could resell them for whatever i wanted, or atleast thats what the package deal I got them from said. Now when i was blocked at first I did think it was because I was selling low, because I had begun changing the prices at the time.
Winkle, I looked awhile back at your feedback to see if I could use one of your ebooks to help you out with feedback in response to one of your earlier posts needing feedback. It looked to me like you had complete resale rights. Then you were blocked. Did they block the seller you bought from?
I've enjoyed your posts on these boards. The best of luck to you. Booklady

No he was not blocked, in fact he a Platium Power Seller, He has a gurentee that if Im not a PowerSeller in 90 day he'll give me $500, Surprisingly enough Im not, and I don't think he will give me $500. What really sux about the whole ordeal is that I had made my first tangible sell, an eBay has probably turned my customer away from future sells with that individual.

Can you elaborate on that? Why would eBay suspend a user for buying or selling penny ebooks?

Because most people who sell and buy penny ebooks are trying to sell feedback or cheat power seller status. Most scammers will buy alot of penny ebooks for quick feedback
Where do you find it against the rules to buy low priced items in order to acquire feedback? Some people buy recipes, patterns, etc. Some people like to build their feedback faster to have the required minimum feedback to do things like open a store, etc. I sell regular books and often have low feedback buyers bid my 1 cent starting bid.
Please post if you have more info on suspension due to low prices.

How do you "cheat power seller status" by buying ebooks? Powerseller eligibility is based on sales in dollars not number of sales.
What you're talking about is something potential buyers should take notice of when looking at a seller's feedback but it's nothing eBay cares about.

Okay now what I'm talking about is on new ebay accounts. Ebay will suspend you real quick if you open a new account, buy lots of penny ebooks, and then try to sell items. Please post if you have more info on suspension due to low prices.
Quote from ebay's policy on Feedback Manipulation: "Feedback left or received where the feedback’s primary value is to artificially enhance a member’s reputation rather than provide commentary on genuine transactional experience is not permitted."
It doesn't appear to be the FACT of low selling prices, but the INTENT of low selling prices that ebay in concerned about. They probably make an evaluation of INTENT (either buyer's or seller's) on a case by case basis. The full ebay page: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/feedback-manipulation.html

Well it wasnt for the eBooks, it was the tangible items, and I sent eBay a copy of my Membership account page with my drop-shipper, but there being A$$es, I told them almost a month ago(it seems)I sell pre-sale items, and because how I listed them I was going back to insert the Pre-Sale terms into my auction when they cut me off, Now there asking me to take pictures of the items that were listed , knowing I dont have them.
So I decided to buy me a hosting package and Im trying to build my own ecommerance site (http://WinkelMart.com), I just uploaded my home page to the site, so you can get the feel of it.
I think ebays biggest problem is they are becomming too big, like the US government or IRS. They are getting SO BIG, there are so many finely detailed rules, they requre so many people just to run ebay, which requires so much money to pay all the expenses, they require more money from the buyers/sellers.
The average person cant just "buy" or "sell" on ebay anymore without spending hours upon hours of research and learning just to get a PHD on ebay or have to pay someone else to do the buying/selling for them or risk getting busted for violating policies that you didnt even know you were violating nor did you really want to take the 6 hours to read about before or after getting caught.
They should think about putting all that effort into a simple, user friendly, easy to learn how to use, site and save all the the "legal" type verbage for the fine print that someone can read if they really want to, instead of having the whole site comprised of hours and hours of reading just to buy/sell a $10 item.
OK, maybe some of this is over-stated, but not by much.
PERFECTLY SAID AS EBAY SUCKS WITH ITS GESTAPO TACTICS AND FOUL PLAY. HOPING GOOGLE DECLARES WAR AS I WILL SUPPORT ANY LEGITIMATE COMPETITOR TO DEBUNKE EBAY AND PAYPAL.
