i have six items ending tonight. i didn't know you couldn't combine shipping with auctiva, and i put in my listing that i would combine shipping on these items. how do i fix this problem at checkout. i disabled auctiva checkout but since it was on when i listed these items, i guess i can't change it. also, i offered auctiva insurance on each item . how does my buyer avoid paying multiple insurance fees if they buy multiple items?
If you have any buyers who want their shipping combined, you might manually create an invoice at PayPal until your listings cycle back out to regular eBay checkout.
As for insurance, unfortunately I'm pretty sure you can't combine insurance purchases so your best bet is probably to sort it out with your customers (those who win multiple items) and buy insurance elsewhere for those. If they pay it all first and then get mad you can always refund them and send a new invoice.
I would use Auctiva insurance much more if I could insure a packet with several items. The alternative (buying insurance separately for each item) is not only time consuming, but also dramatically inflates the insurance costs. If somebody buys from me 10 cheap widgets at $2 each and wants to insure the package, how can I tell him that insurance will cost $13.50 (10x1.35)? USPS would insure the same package for $1.35! Is there any way to combine insurance manually? And when will this feature become available?
There's no way to do it right now. They've said that when Phase II is released (no definite date yet) that combining invoices should be available and that combining insurance will probably go right along with that.
