Hi livenletlivedave, I reviewed your Auctiva account and found that you have the "Allow buyer to edit total amount" setting disable there as well so, if you have not changed this setting since this occurrence, we would need to investigate your situation further to see how the buyer was able to adjust the invoice. If you had the "Allow buyer to edit total amount" setting disabled within your Auctiva account at the time this happened, please contact our customer support department using the appropriate link on our help page: http://www.auctiva.com/free-auction-software-help/help.aspx-Mike

I am having the same problem! I now have my settings to NOT allow buyers to edit totals, but somehow or another they are able to pay less than the invoice I sent to them and it slides through.
Cathy All in all it's just a.... brick in the wall.

Hi Community, The only circumstances under which the buyer should have the freedom to enter his/her own shipping cost when the "Allow Buyer to Edit Total Amount" setting is disabled is when the "Contact Seller or See Item Description" shipping option is used, or when eBay's shipping calculator cannot calculate shipping to the buyer's area, which could be due to a temporary error or otherwise. As a matter of fact, I reviewed an auction just today in which, when I selected "United Kingdom" from the shipping calculator's country menu, an error message that said shipping cannot be calculated to that area and advising me to contact the seller for a shipping estimate was displayed. This is an example of a situation in which the buyer may receive a blank text box in which to enter the shipping charges during checkout. Any additional questions or concerns? Please contact our customer support team using the appropriate link on our help page: http://www.auctiva.com/free-auction-software-help/help.aspx-Mike

This seems like an old post, but perhaps is still a continuing issue. With all the changes occuring, perhaps rechecking all those Preference settings is a good idea. Here's something that might help identify more possible causes for buyer change to invoice. ebay always allows buyer to edit total in either of the following cases, i.e. regardless of the setting for Buyer Edit Option in preference (as noted and linked at the setting): 1. You did not specify any shipping costs or did not include the shipping calculator in your listing. 2. The buyer has an unusual ship-to location for which you did not specify shipping costs (for example, international locations). http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/contextual/buyer-edit-option.htmlDo either of those situations apply to the problems and/or does that also apply to Auctiva checkout? I've been thinking of "re-engaging" Auctiva checkout after two years, so I'm looking for any and all remaining issues before the attempt. Danno
