I'd turned off the Auctiva checkout, since it does not notify me of when it's being sent and what it says. I thought it was still off when I put up a bunch of auctions five days ago. Howeer, I just wsa checking my account and noticed it was back on again! How/why does that happen and how can I stop it from happening again until there is some kind of notification to the seller? I've been sending out ebay invoices, thinking the checkout was off.
I don't mind using the Auctiva checkout, but I do want the control to see what's being sent to my buyers.
Your checkout settings should not change by themselves so I supect you probably just didn't save the setting properly or something of that nature. However, if you are unable to save your desired checkout settings within your Auctiva account, please let us know by filing a support request using the appropriate link on our help page: http://www.auctiva.com/free-auction-software-help/help.aspx
If you are using Auctiva Checkout, Auctiva will automatically send a "Checkout Complete" email to the buyer and seller as soon as the buyer completes the checkout process for a given transaction. These "Checkout Complete" notfications will simply list the details of the transaction, and, if you would like to see an example of the information they contain, you can do so by clicking the "Checkout Settings" link under the "My Account" tab within your account, clicking the "View Screenshots" link and proceding to the third page of the checkout process.
Auctiva also provides the ability to send automatic "Winning Bidder" notification emails to your buyers, which can also be customized completely. If you would like to create a custom "Winning Bidder" notification to be sent to your buyers, you can do so by clicking the "Manage Email Templates" link under the "Sales" tab within your account, and then clicking the "Modify" button next to your default winning bidder email. If you click the "Account Settings" link under the "My Account" tab within your account and select "Default Winning Bidder" from the "Winning Bidder" pull-down menu, Auctiva will automatically send "Winning Bidder" notifications to all of your buyers, whether each transaction uses Auctiva Checkout or not.
