I checked the insurance is optional section in my listing. My buyer ended up being from Canada and I'm shipping Global Priority, she included payment for auctiva insurance. So is that okay or is auctiva ins. only for packages delivered within the U.S?

Auctiva uses U-PIC for insurance. U-PIC normally covers Canada at the same rate as the USA. I'm not sure about Auctiva's specific coverage through U-PIC, but you should be able to get coverage to Canada.
