The merchant account I use now doesnt have authorize.net But I was looking at www.gotmerchant.com and they offer authorize.net as one of the gateways. If I switch to them, I can hook this into auctiva checkout right?
The link between Auctiva and Authorize.net is direct (ie, no other services such as www.gotmerchant.com are required), all you need to have is an account with Authorize.net and then it's as simple as entering a your Authorize.net account information on our site to create the link. If you'd like more info on getting this setup drop us a note here or you can also create a support ticket with "Authorize.net setup" in the subject and you should get a reply pretty quickly.
You still need a merchant account, because an Authorize.net account by iteself is useless. Authnet is only a gateway service, they securely collect cc data and sends it to us or some provider for procesing. You still need a merchant provider that gives you a merchant account, deposits the funds into your acount, etc.
Also, the pricing you get from Authorize.net will be higher than what we are offering on our web site.
My understanding is authorizeNet still requires a processor to underwrite the sales that is in credit. Authorize.net is about $8 at www.unitedbankservice.com
Sorry about the huge "bump" however this fits my question (more or less).
I have a merchant account that utilizes Auth.net. Can I just fill in the pertinent information and have it work on eBay. My current fees are less than PayPal.
Thanks for any help. Oh, and what is the link to open a ticket? I have another issue involving my store. Thanks again!
