I have a customer that doesn't want to use the Auctiva checkout. Is there a way for him to pay through PayPal without using the Auctiva chackout now that the auction has ended? I have assured him that Auctiva is not a scam and that it is approved by eBay. I gave him the website hoping that it will help.
Unfortunately, this is bound to happen from time to time.
You can send him a PayPal invoice directly. From your PayPal overview screen, click "Request Money" then the "Invoicing" link (or the "Create an Invoice" tab).
A lot of people are used to, and comfortable with eBay checkout, and are leery of alternate forms of checkout. Many are afraid, in today's world of internet scams, to put their personal info into a checkout system that they are not familiar with. It's perfectly understandable.
Also, the OP did not indicate that the buyer was insisting on paying with PayPal. I wouldn't think of running an auction without offering PayPal. That's akin to shooting yourself in the foot. The vast majority of PayPal transactions are not scams.
